Barr is in the Senate today and House tomorrow if he deigns to show up to grace them with his presence. Naturally, the majority in the Senate bullshit and shower him with praise but I should think he won't do well with the Dems, and very poorly tomorrow.

I haven't the measure of Nadler in the House. Will he bluster if Barr doesn't show or cooperate or take action? It's the suspense that gets me

I checked out Fox and Friends this morning to see how they are bullshi.... I mean spinning.

Barr lying before Congress is the lead story but they did not make it the A block. When they did get to it they invited a GOP house member who only wanted to talk about Peter Stzrok and Lisa Page. Also the trashing of Mueller is underway.

I wonder how Fox and Friends will do under new management. Supposedly the Father's Son of the Media Empire is considering major changes to not be Trump's poodle.

I’ve noticed that Fox is putting up with less Presidential Bullshit lately, feels like it started around October 2018.

Exactly what I've been thinking. How absolutely weak the Democrats are. Lynch had to recuse herself because she met with Clinton's husband for 5 minutes who happens to be an ex-President. Yet Trump can call the Attorney General into his office to talk about a case against him he is handling and we just confirmed an Attorney General who before he got confirmed wrote an oped basically weighing in on that case and refused to recuse himself. Absolutely mind boggling what the Republicans get away with.

Be sure to attack the Dems for being "weak" over the false claim that Lynch recused herself. She didn't.

It has nothing to do with the current imbroglio, anyway.

Hahaha

I can’t link because it’s a cnn breaking news thing and the text will get buried over time but here is what I read:

Attorney General William Barr is testifying before the Senate Judiciary Committee today. Tomorrow, he's scheduled to answer questions before the House Judiciary Committee — but there's been some drama over that hearing.

Barr warned House Democrats he wouldn't show up to Thursday's hearing if they stuck to the format the chairman has proposed for the questioning, according to a committee source with knowledge of the matter.

House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler told CNN that Barr would not "dictate the format of the Judiciary Committee."

Asked what he would do if Barr doesn't comply, Nadler said, "Then we will have to subpoena him, and we will have to use whatever means we can to enforce the subpoena."

The proposed format: According to the source, Nadler wants all panel members to have one round of questioning of five minutes each, and a subsequent round of questioning of 30 minutes for each side, allowing both parties' committee counsels to also engage in questioning.

Barr has rejected those proposals for additional rounds of questioning, according to the source. The Justice Department has informed Nadler's office that Barr doesn't think the committee counsels should be allowed to question him, the source said, prompting the attorney general to threaten to not show up at all.

He doesn’t like the format.....

Send out the Sargent at Arms!

Anyone going to be watching Barr today? I'll probably wait an hour or two so I can fast forward and skip the ass kissing.

I think he'll show then demonstrate what a jackass he is by walking out if he doesn't get his way or refuse to cooperate. If that happens I think there's perhaps an option that would work in our favor. Get together contempt citations for the IRS guy and those who refuse to cooperate but below Barr and snag them, then give Barr a subpoena and see what he does. Barr can up the game in the Constitutional crisis by refusing arrest or his security defend him and participate in a coup. There's no creating a crisis, it is upon us now and what happens may very well determine if our future will be a republic as intended or an Imperial President with two lesser entities, the Courts and Congress.

(Total fantasy)

Be cool if the Sargent at Arms was at the door in uniform with a ceremonial pike, slams the door shut and says to Barr “sit down!” If Barr attempts to walk out.

Just heard Graham say “what if Russia supplied the information in the Steele document?”
Yeah that’s believable Russia would prefer Hillary over Trump.
Then Graham immediately went to but Hillary...

Barr’s claiming Mueller didn’t want to claim obstruction in a meeting they had, even if the memo about not indicting a sitting President didn’t exist..

The actual letter is out. Interesting to note that the Trump DOJ spin on the letter contained within those two articles that came out last night even seems to be misleading. They stressed that Mueller was upset about how the media was spinning Barr's remarks. The media is not mentioned once in his letter.

Mueller purposefully provided a detailed and pre-redacted executive summary that was meant for both Congress and public consumption, and Barr deliberately refused to release it in full.

It's pretty much established that Barr is entirely willing to misrepresent anything said by anyone at any time, so long as it helps his liar of a boss.

But. Her. EMAILS!

That's all they got?

Never mind Trump and associates using unsecured personal phones, email accounts, and servers themselves...

I can always tell when something juicy has come out when I wake up to see talking fatheads like Newt Gingrich using the Fox News butthorn to whine long and loud — not about substance or accuracy and truth, but that new revelation is a politically motivated hit job by Democrats and/or the fact-based media for the sole purpose of embarrassing Trump and/or one of his bootlicking suck-ups.

Even given that nothing will escape but hot air (or a fouler gas), I hope Barr gets the pincushion treatment he so desperately deserves.

Barr essentially throws Mueller under the bus, continues to work for the President and not the country, so no surprises there.

So Barr's statement that Trump couldn't be obstructing justice since the original crime against him was illegitimate/incorrect... there were plenty of crimes that happened considering the indictments, why isn't he basically 'on the hook' for obstructing justice against *those* investigations? He wasn't trying to get rid of Comey/Mueller just to get end an investigation on him, it was on the entire investigation which covered a ton of territory.

So Barr's position is that obstruction can't be obstruction if the obstruction works?
