A MAGA on FB just told me this trial was a sham and nothing will even happen to Hunter. - That's actually a fair and reasonable statement.

Then they said his hope is Hunter is sentenced to 20 years.

20 years... for lying on an application, a "crime" that should have had him in court with a hefty fine and maybe some community service. Not a full blown trial. Now was this person exaggerating? I would think it has to be, but they tend to not be rooted in any sort of reality. And they also feel that even if Hunter does go to prison, it's not enough because his dad should be going to prison too. If Hunter did go to prison here (not happening) that would be the evil court system they think is going after Trump.

Waiting for President Bidens press conference about a rigged and unfair trial for his son, I expect I will be waiting a long time.

The MAGAs are saying Biden won't speak out, or step in because "nothing will actually happen to Hunter here, this verdict is bullshit without punishment and there will be no punishment" while they're (probably) not incorrect. This shouldn't have even gone to trial, it should have been an hour in court during the week with 55 minutes of that Hunter waiting his turn. Then a judge asks him if he did the crime or not. Hunter replies and the judge hands out a fine or something. I've been to court for petty shit, and outside of waiting for the people ahead of you, it's about a 60 second process once the judge calls you up.

But the MAGAs don't understand this and they need Hunter to get locked up for a long time for a finable offense.

He shouldn't get any jail time, but then again I didn't think this would go to trial and he would be found guilty either. I find it crazy he went to trial and was convicted. Not to the extent of MAGAs whining about injustice and abuse of power. But I feel like somebody somewhere with some power pulled some strings here. I'm not going to stupidly proclaim the verdict was rigged and the trial was a sham. Hunter did break a law, so the verdict is what it is. But the fact it even went to trial seems like some meddling was involved. But since he was found guilty by a jury, I guess I was wrong and this should have went to trial. I just never expected a trial for something so petty.

And the MAGAs are now whining that Hunter was just a scape goat so the Trump verdict appears legit. And by their logic, he should do hard time in Prison and Trump must be pardoned. Biden sacrificing his son to get Trump is a bold ass move for sure. Evil Bradon!

If he does go to jail and his dad sticks to his word and doesn't pardon him, that will show people a lot. I remember before he left office, Trump was handing out pardons like Halloween candy, even to people who hadn't gotten in any trouble yet.

90 days in the hoosegow probated over 2 years with some community service and maybe some weekends of home confinement. (Weekends at Bernies)
