Hello, and thanks to anyone reading my post regarding outdated technology. I purchased an older computer from my friend's work. They were upgrading their computers and selling the old ones for only 25 bucks to their employees. I felt that the XP pro license alone was worth that. I plan to use this as a bedroom comp. Mostly just surfing and would like to run it to an LCD tv for movies, videos and such. Maybe a little lite gaming, but gotta better system for that. I replaced the old 100W PSU with a 350W micro atx PSU I have had sitting around. I rewired with nice new cables, and added a Sony DVD burner from a previous computer. Now I would like to put a graphics card in, hopefully something with DVI rather than having to use the VGA output. Thing is, I just can't figure out what this Mobo supports. The AGP slot is brown and seems to be keyed for 1.5V. I know that it won't take an 8X card...so is this a 1, 2 or 4X slot? I am guessing 4X, since what I have read is that 1.5V is typically for a 4X card...but the cards I look at that will do 4X and 8X always seem to be keyed with both the 3.3V and 1.5V, unlike the slot on my Mobo. I have searched all over the net for info on the board specs, but can't find anything. The board is an IBM model 49P1599. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance for your advice.
