hi im building a NF7 v2.0 tomorrow with a athlon xp 2500+
how come the motherboard says it supports 4x/8x but when i look up 4x/8x video cards on newegg i see a bunch of ones that have 3 pieces where the video card connects to the AGP slot the 8x/4x video cards look like this.............

but the motherboard AGP slot only has 2 holes in the slot?

i dont get it.

the AGP slot on the NF7 looks like this...

how could those 2 components be compatible?

It will fit. AGP cards have that "extra" slit in them (don't ask me why) but that is as designed, and it doesn't prevent them from plugging into AGP slots. Basically, the first two "sections" of the card edge fit into the same section of the slot. In that picture of the motherboard you linked, you can see that the lower section of the slot is about twice as long as the upper section, long enough to accommodate the first two sections on the card. Erm, that make sense?

It would definitely fit. Don't worry about it. In fact, it would be dynamite to pair these two components.

Remember to push down the little plastic thing at the edge of the AGP slot down before attempting to push in the card.
