20/40 with a $2500 bankroll is really, really bad. That's a bankroll for $2/4. Just to give you an example, I am a $20/40 regular and my bankroll is $45,000. I regularly lose or win your entire bankroll in a session. If you want, PM me your screenname and I'll comment on your play if you wish.Originally posted by: Xafgoat
im not a usual 20/40 player. I just went a little crazy. 5/10 is my game, or 3/6 omaha if im feeling in the mood.

I just lost 2500 dollars playing party poker and only have 500 in my bank account. Thats a -2000 dollar balance once those checks clear. STAY AWAY FROM PARTY POKER IF YOU HAVE ANY ADDICTIVE TENDANCYS.
serious ownage here. Jebus, im screwed.
People tell you it's in your head because it is. I've personally played over 250,000 hands at party poker from .5/1 to 20/40. Variance is pretty damn large in hold'em and having 20k-30k hand breakeven or losing streaks isn't uncommon for winning players. People don't understand this and instead think the sites are instead rigged.Originally posted by: jbourne77
I stay away from Party Poker because many of their games are jacked. A lot of people would agree. I know that some people will tell me that it's in my head and I suck this and that, but I play at plenty of other sites without issue. I don't trust Party Poker one stinkin' bit.

Just FYI Nik, the .02/.04 tables teach you absolutely nothing. People call play like total clods and it's very difficult to win because people play every single hand they get so you inevitably end up losing to some dumbass that makes his inside straight on the river with 8/4 offsuit.
You start getting semi-decent play where you learn at about the .50/1 tables.
