I finally figured out why I dislike Pinkie Pie...shes a greedy bastard. There were previous episodes where she was extremely selfish, but now I know that even when shes "helping" others its simply for her own personal gratification. Im pretty sure most of the other ponies aren't really her freind, they just fake it to keep her from going insane and/or destroying their stuff.

I liked her much better as a rock farmer. Actually Im looking for a big version (16x12 or 19x14) of that picture:

She was rather exceedingly irritating this time around.
I see it a lot if you try to convey to people that you're not big on pointless small talk about the weather, or that you prefer being at home, away from lots of other people. It just generates a "DOES NOT COMPUTE" error in their brain, and then the person continues on like the error conditions never even occurred.

Like this whole "pony" thing - I get it, plenty of other people don't get it, or like it, or want any part of it. So I keep it pretty well confined to this one thread; I'm not compelled to go out and try to generate fresh converts.
Yet it is considered socially acceptable to constantly pester anyone who's shy or not exceedingly sociable, or who has even openly said in some cases, "Please leave me alone." Ms. Pie is a reflection of that attitude.

But I guess the episode about Twilight meeting this same donkey would have been pretty short.

A good deal if you can manage to follow through on it.

I was frequently bullied in school. (Constant and unending verbal harassment; it was a very tame school - fights were extremely rare, maybe one or two a year.) I wasn't quick with words so a snappy comeback was out of the question. My mom's constant suggestion was to ask the teachers do make it stop. They were mostly useless for such things. My dad said to fight them. In 8th grade, the 5th graders were still mostly my size, so I had no interest in also getting beaten up to add to the trouble. Not much fun. :\
I dare say that it lead to me tending to be just a tad bit cynical.
