AHH! I spilled water on my keyboard and now it is kaput

I just spilled a huge glass of water on my logitech cordless elite keyboard. I immediately pulled out the batteries and shook it/took it apart and dried it with a towel and a fan for an hour. I plugged it back in and now none of the functions work (all of the keys, the multimedia buttons on the top).

Should i try anything next, before I pitch it and go buy a new keyboard?

Does anyone have a suggestion for a nice black keyboard? (wireless doesn't matter to me anymore)

I spilled iced tea on my old keyboard.. had to get a new one.. so I got a logitech elite (wired tho, I have no need for wireless)

BUt yeah, the keyboard still worked fine after spilling the iced tea on it, but the keys kept sticking (even after cleaning them)

alright alright maybe I was impatient.

i was thinking that it could have easily fried itself because it's a cordless keyboard with batteries and all.

now i'm stuck on my ghetto blaster laptop. The best part is I can't shut my computer down because I use novell here at school and it won't let you get past the login screen without the right password (or without a password, period)!

Spilled water on keyboard? seems fine to me... after all it worked enough for you to tell us about it. I highly doubt you typed that with a mouse and an onscreen keyboard.

Yeah, water will do that to electronics.

I'm back! It's working again. Dried for ~12 hours and it seems to be working fine. Crisis averted.
