AHH IM SCREWED!!

Okay school starts here TOMMOROW. I have a AP Literature project to do. I have to read 1984, Lord of the Flies and Glass Menagerie. And do projects on them. Well.......being a procrastinator I am, I started it yesterday. Well, I have been working non-stop and I have 1984 left. These projects require really to read the book cause Sparknotes doesn't cover details like these. I AM SCREWED UP TEH ASS MAN!!! I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I AM DOING AND THIS 1984 BOOK SUCKS!!!!!!!!! GOD I HATE ENGLISH!!!!! :| :|


I just had to get that off my chest, sorry for the rant......I sware I want to tear George Orwell's POS book into shreds and then eat it. :frown:

I guess I was the only one who would read the books(real books, not text/schoolbooks) as soon as I got them, and not only read ahead, but finish days before the rest of the class(IE, and not have to bother with "Mkay class, we're going to read chapters 2 and maybe 3 today...".

well....i remember i had a summer assignment for AP Econ in high school. i was going into my senior year and already had senioritis, so i ended up not doing it. it turns out the assignment was just to "lay the groundwork for the year" and ended up not counting towards our grade.

sooo....is it possible this assignment is of a similar nature?

I knew some people like that in my school.. they were all girls.

What kind of stuff do you need to know about 1984? I'm sure some of us can help you out.

No, I have friends that took this class last year and this teacher is a freaking NAZI. I sware if you do not do one assigment you are on her sh!t list for the rest of the year, there is no hope for you then. She bases everything off these books, from what I heard though.

1984 and Lord of the Flies were so easy in my English class, I didn't read either, wrote papers on both, and got A's on both papers. Just pretend like you know what you're talking about.

I'm just confused as to why you still didn't do your work even if you knew your teacher was a nazi......I mean, I procrastinated on my summer work all through high school, but because I knew I could handle it, and there wouldn't be huge repercussions from it.........knowing the result and still not doing it is just stupid IMO. I really don't mean to offend you, but if you admit to knowing about the teacher......

And you're in AP Lit (Lit....was 11th grade?), you still haven't read at least one of those books? I guess I'm one of the rarer people these days that still enjoys reading.

I read 1984 before it was even required by my classes. Very good book, and when you make refrences to it in speeches, teachers give you A's

It's twelfth grade man, I guess every county is different. Well, I guess I didn't care at the beginning of the summer but when it was coming to like 1 month, I was like OMG I better start. Then it was two weeks and I was like HOLY SH!T I NEED TO START. NOW IT LIKE WTF AM I EVEN DOING?!!! AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

they make you do assignments before the school year even starts? Man, AP classes weren't that way when I was taking them. If not for my friends in the AP classes, I probably would have just taken regular classes and gotten better grades with less work. I ended up going to CC to get an AA and AP didn't mean squat.
