ahhh starting to get nervous! tonsils out in a few hours...

im leaving for the hospital in about 20 minutes to get my tonsils out...

i havent been nervous for the last week but im starting to get a little bit of the butterfly feeling now. wish me luck people!

if i dont wake up for some reason, i want rossman to gain my neffing power. i figure he is an ultra-nef, but if he gained mine on top of his, he would become an ultra-super-nef.

im back everyone...

my throat is absolutely killing me. i ate a hamburger from McDonalds on the way home, though, so i know for sure my mouth is ok at this point. thanks everyone for the advice. i have to go lay down now because i feel like im going to throwup from all the moving around.

i was hungry and i wasnt going to settle for mush. i decided to just suck it up and eat that burger. i didnt throw up but came pretty close a few times. i didnt sleep hardly at all last night...i kept waking up because my mouth was dry. i also drank some milk this morning...oh what a mistake. my mom handed it to me and i drank it without realizing how i was about to turn my mouth into a spit factory.

i ate pancakes and life cereal this morning. i was absolutely starving and mashed potatos werent gonna fix it

dude, i had mine removed wednesday (as in like 5 days ago). you'll come home and not feel the pain, want to crash for 12 hours. im on hydrocodine right now ( ). take the hydrocodine. i sucked it up and was eating hard foods (beef and rice, steak) in 2-3days. i fvcking hate that jello/pudding/fatty mcfatty foods they say to eat (how about i get you a tub of ice cream to eat!!!---f' no!). it's awesome. you'll get a lot of mucus in your throat...you'll want to not swallow ANYTHING within the first days. i didnt even swallow spit. drinking sucks. drinking real cold things hurts the back of your throat a little. it's all how you tolerate pain i suppose -- it's not THAT bad of pain. the docs said youll be out for a week -- bs, give it like 4 days then you're alright. don't open your mouth to check out your battle scars for like 5-6days though cause it hurts.

nah, just have your parent take you home and go to sleep. you won't hear anything and will sleep like a baby. take your meds. sleep it off, don't worry about posting and stuff. the day after will probably be the toughest cause the gas wore off and you have to start taking pills and liquids. apple sauce is probably the best thing to eat (if you can). jello is a bit cumbersome. oh, also, i'd advise not drinking the flavored fruit juices....they dry out your mouth and make a weird feeling. they make your tonsil holes extra dry and hurt more with ice. i'd recommend just water or maybe gatorade.

You'll wake up with the worst sore throat you've ever had in your life - for about four hours. After that the painkillers will be able to deal with it fairly well. Until you swallow, anyway, and then it feels like an engine block being rammed down your throat. Goes away in about three days. They gave me a giant prescription of yummy liquid Vicodin, which I grew extremely fond of before the week was out.

I had mine taken out about 3.5 years ago. I layed around and ate mush for 2 weeks, at which point I was medically cleared to play basketball again (senior year of HS) so I played in a game that night...which was really rough.

rofl, you ate a hamburger when you got out. dude, you'll be paying for it today/tomorrow. my throat's about a 2/10 on the pain scale and im a week -1day from my surgery so....wow, a hamburger the day of. hardcore

BTW, I had morphine when i had my spleen removed. Morhpine is one hell of a drug.
