I have to say, he does make some very good points. A lot of our press drowns out his legitimate concerns with hyperbole and mis-information. Worth a read, no matter what your political persuasion is.

I heard his address to the UN this evening live. He is a nutjob. Not surprised that P&N posters would say "he makes some good points".

Sure, if you don't know history, have a set mindset and can't think for yourself, then yea, everyone is a nutjob if you try hard enough.

Did or did not Germany commit genocide against the jews? Answer that question first. Or is that some kind of media hyped conspiracy?

Sure, he did. The point is, we ignore all the other people attacked in the Holocaust as well. Where is the cry for the gypsy homeland? The homosexual homeland? The Mongoloid homeland? The point is that the Jews are the "charismatic megafauna" of the human race. Only they were given a homeland because of persecution.

Secondly, the Holocaust is only a big deal because Hitler lost. Victors write the history, not the losers. Look at the American Indian. They suffered an even worse Holocaust than the Jews (over 90% of them killed) and they suffer under an Apartheid-like existence on reservations. The difference between American Indians and Jews? The Jews were on the winning side in WWII, while the Native Americans were not. There are almost no mentions of Stalin's genocide/atrocities except in a passing manner. No one cries for those people (Siberians, Russians, Ukrainians, etc etc).

This is the point Ahmadinejad was trying to make. Jews are charismatic megafauna while all other peoples just have to deal with their plight.

its only a half point, and its not a good one

the jews didn't have to deal with their plight? NO because they were fucking dead

I can appreciate trying to see other points of view, but lets not be delusional here

The surviving Jews received a homeland. You dodged the question. Why did the Jews get a homeland while the surviving Gypsies, homosexuals, Mongoloids, and others affected by the Holocaust not get any consideration?

I didn't dodge any question. What is the deal here? Do you want a homeland for them all?

Why do YOU think that they got a homeland when others didn't?

You dodged my point completely......What about the dead jewish people? They didn't receive a fucking thing.

I don't know anyone who thinks that the other groups didn't deserve some kind of peace of mind afterwards..

So what are you insinuating exactly? The jews are somehow evil because they managed to be semi-successful after having a large portion of their people murdered?

The jews didn't murder those other people. You act as if somehow they should pay for the fact that others suffered as well.

You're still not getting the logic. Don't answer my question with a question. The Nazis killed all those people, and even more people were killed at the hands of other dictators. Of all these races killed, why did only the Jews get a homeland? The dead are dead, forget them. Look at the survivors. Why did the Jewish survivors get a homeland, while the homosexual survivors, Mongoloid survivors, Gypsy survivors basically get ignored?

Ahmadinejad did a good job of pointing out the cognitive dissonance in the Holocaust. Of course, you actually have to be intelligent enough to see it.

Sorry, but any holocaust denier doesn't warrant a second gaze, for me.

I draw the line at holocaust denial.

Dude, you are seriously making me sick.

Are you seriously putting forth the argument that since we don't treat everyone equally, that we cannot condemn anything? Do we need to provide homelands for every soul ever viciously persecuted in history for us to say that we can rightfully call a spade a spade?

6 million jews were murdered. For fuck's sake.

I think that is a key point. The fact is we acted awfully in our American history, over the course of about a 100 years we allowed greed and the desire for expansion to overrule any trace of morality in dealing with the native population.

However we never approached the brutality of the holocaust in shuttling Jews by the hundreds of thousands into gas chambers, killing 6 million over the course of 5-10 years. Yes we took over land and we forced some Indian groups on essentially death marches but the two events simply do not compare.

One was a direct extermination campaign that killed 6 million over the course of only a few years, while the other was a greed driven expansion campaign over the course of a 100 years that primarily killed Indians because of their lack of the proper antibodies. I'm not an apologist of our history, I just want to point out how different the two events were.

VI Lenin (not Lennon) was not Jewish but but he did have a lot to say about anti-semitism in the revolution.

Your post reeks of knucklehead bs.

Lenin's grandfather was Jewish, so your right hes not fully Jewish.

Besides that, care to explain why there are hundreds of Jewish-holocaust movies out there and few if any on the Gypsy-holocause or countless other holocausts ? Ah thats right, its like I said, they lack the resources to make that happen. So no one cares since its not made into a big deal.

Secondly your a idiot if all you have as a rebuttal is a 'bs'. Simple question, why did we bomb the hell out of Serbia and march troops into there, while at the same time ignore and continue to this day to ignore the ongoing problems in many other areas of the world. Darfur, Somalia, Congo...tons of other areas are 10x more war torn than that European nation was yet nothing is done.

But of course in your glass bubble world it has absolutely nothing to do with there being 0 to gain from helping those areas out. We just havnt gotten around to it yet.

Yep of course.

The fine point people might make is that native americans were in the way, but people went out and deliberately sought out Jews. That would be correct in that there was no official policy of genocide regarding American Indians (or whatever the PC term is these days), however there was no attempt to keep them from being killed when they resisted our westward movement and takeover of their lands. The Nazis and America had a policy of killing their respective "enemies". The difference is that my Cherokee ancestors and those who made them walk the Trail of Tears are dead. Not all who were victims of Germany are. This is still a timely issue. The slaughter of native Americans isn't.

So of the groups I mentioned, all of them get bastardized solutions. Gypsies were never from Georgia initially, they are of Roma blood. Homos merely get laws to protect them. Mongoloids was the term Hitler used to refer to anyone that was from the East, not Asian, and not German.

6 million jews were murdered. For fuck's sake.

We should condemn and treat everyone equally. This would lead to most of the strife being eliminated. As a percentage, more Gypsies were murdered by the Nazis than Jews (only ~50% of all the Jews in the world were killed by Hitler, over 90% of the Gypsy population was killed by Hitler). So don't give me that "ffs" shit. Secondly, if you can't have a rational discussion about the Holocaust, including all the shit that is nasty about it, then feel free to find another thread to spread your ignorance in.

My point is that since we don't treat everyone equally, especially when it comes to genocide, we should not be surprised that certain groups are going to be singled out for contempt. In this time period, it happens to be the Jews. There is nothing inherently special about Jewish people except that they were the "charismatic megafauna" of the Holocaust.

I want all prisoners to be released. Every one. Americans and non-Americans?it really makes no difference.
Why the hell not .. Have a law and order crisis, who cares.

Clifs:
a)Nothing else than why he thought the holocaust didn't happen.
b) cleanly denies anything about nuclear weapons by saying that he needed radioactive substances for medicines...

Seriously give the man a break, people have right to be ignorant and dumb some times ...

I would sort of agree with the op. Some of his replies seem like, non idiotic and well thought.
Like the medicine reply for NPT. He even remembers so many stats.

So the method makes a difference? If we killed an entire ethnic group with sweet smells and baby powder, would that make a difference?

Or your second argument, time. So a genocide committed over a hundred years is acceptable, but a genocide committed over 4 years is not? So if Hitler took his time in killing Jews, that would be acceptable?

Excusing the holocaust because of what happened with the natives?

It is hilarious that the further Left you get, the more you sound like Pat Buchanan on this issue.

My point of view is Hitler didn't had a purpose, while Americans did. For Americans they had three options, go back to England and face the heat of industrial revolution, or get killed by native Americans. Although a trade agreement or something like that would have helped. And who knows maybe that's what they did for few of em.

Because it wasn't just the Nazis that were prejudice against the Jews. In every European country at the time there was at least some discrimination. When the world learned of how far the Nazis went with it, I think there was some guilt they felt for their actions too. They probably saw this as a plus to entice other European Jews to move to a new homeland.

uh, mongoloids? really? so, mongoloids, caucasoids, and negroids? using the broadest possible (and rather archaic) definitions of race rather than ethno-centric definitions? well, lets see, chinese have china, japanese have japan, koreans have korea, vietnamese have vietnam, ...

Between 11-17 million were killed though the Nazi's program of genocide, with around 1/2 to 2//3s being non-Jewish people which Hitler also deemed sub-human.

Rather, they were driving from their homes often killed for sport just like the Buffalo which provided their sustenance. They were also targeted with old fashioned biological warfare:

According to historian Francis Parkman, Amherst first raised the possibility of giving the Indians infected blankets in a letter to Colonel Henry Bouquet, who would lead reinforcements to Fort Pitt. No copy of this letter has come to light, but we do know that Bouquet discussed the matter in a postscript to a letter to Amherst on July 13, 1763:

P.S. I will try to inocculate the Indians by means of Blankets that may fall in their hands, taking care however not to get the disease myself. As it is pity to oppose good men against them, I wish we could make use of the Spaniard's Method, and hunt them with English Dogs. Supported by Rangers, and some Light Horse, who would I think effectively extirpate or remove that Vermine.

On July 16 Amherst replied, also in a postscript:

P.S. You will Do well to try to Innoculate the Indians by means of Blanketts, as well as to try Every other method that can serve to Extirpate this Execrable Race. I should be very glad your Scheme for Hunting them Down by Dogs could take Effect, but England is at too great a Distance to think of that at present.

On July 26 Bouquet wrote back:

I received yesterday your Excellency's letters of 16th with their Inclosures. The signal for Indian Messengers, and all your directions will be observed.
As my Cherokee great grandmother's entire family was slaughtered by such genocidal bigots, I take particular offence to attempts to excuse those monsters.

He most certainly did have a purpose. Granted, it was a purpose based on the absurd delusion that ethnic purity was necessary to insure Germany's continuing existence, but it was a purpose just the same.

Anyone who bothers to look at the historical record knows that colonists made and broke agreement after agreement. While they had the superiority of arms to hold their ground, they instead chose exploit that dominance to flood the continent with Europeans, clinging to the myth of "Manifest Destiny" as some Divinely ordained purpose for their genocidal conquest.

Why did the Jews get a homeland while the surviving Gypsies, homosexuals, Mongoloids, and others affected by the Holocaust not get any consideration?

destruction of holocaust =/= jewish people recieving Israel

because the holocaust has nothing to do with the Jewish People gettting Israel. it was going to happen already. you need to look into the history of israel to understand it.

I really love it how just because he is being nice to the .0000000000001% of jews (anti-zionist fanatics) that he would be nice to any jew. he was doing that for plabicity. you know that anual event he holds that discusses israel? well the news focused on the jewish people there ( that .00000001%) because he wants it to look like many jews are against Israel, but infact the only reason those jews are against Israel is because they want to wait for the Mesiah to come not to have israel until then. Not because of ANYTHING imafuckfacejad bitches about at these events.

oh and for the sake of keeping this argument about imafuckfacejad, he does not believe that AQ was the terrorists of 9/11

forth page of the interview, 5th response

But 3,000 people did die in New York on September 11.
Sure, but have they managed to reappear and be alive again after the crimes were carried out in Afghanistan?

Bold is the interviewer, quote is imafuckfacejad.

I'd love to hear the iranian sympathizers deny the quote.

it was the first sentence he answered. i did not even take it out of the middle of the paragraph.
