This tablet does NOT come with google marketplace by default, but if you root the tablet you can install it.

There is supposed to be a big official update coming out soon that will have native Marketplace support.

I wonder if this device will get honeycomb...

I think 1.7 was the "big" update, curiously, it ships with a free remote but it's not usable as of yet.

Oh, OK, they upgraded my shipping for free, the power of AT helped, I sent an email stating that I am an 11 year member of the biggest forum around and people are probably waiting to see how my experience with Merimobiles is before they order, "it would be in your best interest to expedite my order so I can post a positive review in my hot deals thread" so they upgraded me to DHL express for free. Anyhow there are plenty of instructions to get marketplace running (or at least 85% of it running), on my wife's Coby kyros 7022 we just download the APK files and install, most work, some don't but that's Android, hers is a 2.3 tablet as well..

Also the kernel is overclockable using setcpu. All the way to 1.5ghz. Of course my tablet isn't stable around 1.2ghz. Nice to know its there though. "

The Novo Basic was just released with Gingerbread, hopefully the Advanced will get that update fairly soon.

Just got mine westerday, flashed to 1.7, had market seems stable so far. Plastic case on this guy so for those who might get one for a child might want consider that, performance is as advertised IMO. I have no need to root for now, the only advantage would be to shut off phone and 3G apps running in the backround, I didn't know that 1.* was for novo 7, thought it was for a different tablet (with the same Soc) but to me if it's running fine and doing what I want, leave it alone..

I saw some shaking but it's hard to tell if it's from my tablet or from the camera shaking from the bike ride, it seemed to smooth out as you coasted to a stop. Sorry I can't be of more help,I'm an old fart, 3D bowling impresses me LOL, look on youtube, there are several uploads of it playing video, IMO you will be fine, really nice performance for a cheap tablet, plastic case instead of metal which might affect it's survivability if its dropped but as long as your careful not an issue..

The resolution is low but on a "7 screen it's just a non issue IMO, at 1280X 768 many more icons could fit but they would be the size of a matchead, bring a magnifying glass, LOL. 16gb would be preferable of course but at a sub $150 delivered price point?, just add more via the SD slot if needed. Valid point about the support though so it does represent a bit of a gamble in that regard.

Got mine today, and I can't get any sound from the speaker on the back of the unit. The headphone output works fine, but this is unacceptable. Am I overlooking something?
