Just create Elyos...they seem like they could be the next horde (less kiddies...) or as others mentioned they could be the next Chaos vs Order (order got totally overwhelemed)

If you're having trouble getting onto your server, just keep checking back. They are switching the locks around to make sure the servers fill evenly, so the server side you want WILL be open again once more people join up on the low pop side and it becomes the high pop side.

Right now I have an asmodian on Siel and an elyos on Nezekan.

As for side preference it really comes down to personal preference or what you're friends are rolling. In general I suspect that server-wide the Elyos side will probably be lower pop but more mature and skilled, but that all goes out of the window in specific encounters where a skilled Asmo guild will do just as well as the skilled Elyos guilds do.

They've just raised the character max for pre-select. You should be able to get into most servers now, including Azphel.

I'm an old Lineage II veteran and based on what I have seen Aion is similar in many ways. I stay in Guam and although its US territory I feel their might be some lag when playing since I'm from the other side of the pacific, me and alot of my other new "Aion" friends that I have meet whenever I visit the local Gamestop at the mall, we're planning to create a Guam Guild of some sort. Guam may be small 32miles long X 16miles wide, but its home to over 160,000 people, I may have only met so far as under 20 people who are going to be playing Aion when it opens next week, but I know at least their could be aleast a couple dozen more or hundred more people that I dont know that will be playing this game because one of the managers of Gamestop is a friend of mine (he's going to playing Aion also) told me that he already had more than a 100 pre-orders for this game. I hope this game does well because I'm kind of tired of seeing so many WOW "no offense to wow players, its just too cartoony for me" glad theirs something like this coming out for a change.

Let me say that I did a Chinese trial of the game from the West coast and got almost no lag. I was amazed at that, although I imagine the first week or two will be very different here.

I was planning to be a Glad at first, but reading the forums, supposedly Templars are beasts in endgame PVP. Plus, I've never played a tank before

To be honest from what I saw when I played glad in OB, I totally threw out the class.

It does decent damage, but it isn't like WHOAMIGOD DPS, its like so close to templar, and you give up a lot of your tank abilities (guard type ability, and pulling people to you) in exchange for this mediocre dps increase and EXTREMELY unsatisfying aoe.

Templar was what I was going to roll if I decided to roll a heavy, but I'm on chanter now.

Edit: Plus I'll be totally honest, Glads are a penny a dozen, hell you probably can probably get 2 dozen glads for 1 Zimbabwe dollar.

glads are pretty much junk until theyre lvl 50 and decked out.

Well I will not choose temp for one reason..i hate freakin shields and people wanting you in pve groups all the time.

I don't take what people say about a class in beta seriously considering how much a class changes over the first 6 months.
