Damn, this game is way too popular than I thought. There are too many people on Azphel and it makes click quest item or spawn quest person a pain. I guess I wait until late at night.

I gave it a go.

Server is now down and crashed.

But while it was up got my cleric to lvl 7. So far, it's been kinda "meh". I still think Vanguard is a better game. I didn't die once, or did I even come close even with multiple adds during combat.

I tried to get on an alternate server since mine crashed and it's over 2 hours in queue.

Atleast I got the "cute bunny" quest done, that's a step in the right direction. heh. Trying to click on a bunny with about 40 other people is not fun.

queues are way too long on both the servers i want to play coupled with the random disconnects

i'll wait till its fixed, rather than try to play some other server without queues

Vaizel never crashed, I got booted 6-7 times early and then it ran perfectly for the rest of the day. For me, it's been by far the smoothest launch of an mmo ever. I was truthfully expecting almost every server to crash at some point in the day.

Amazon sent me a pre-order beta key even though I never pre-ordered this game. Gave it a try, bored the shit out of me, don't plan on touching it again.

Levels 1-10 are boring as hell IMO but really the game is more of the same in terms of MMOs. I'm having a decent time with a class I didn't think I'd like (spiritmaster) so I'll probably stick with this game for a bit.

Played more than I did for the entire beta last night. I like it so far. In flight combat seems like it'd be really weird but we'll see.

Vaizel was good. I heard there was a 45 min queue but I dc a few times and never had to wait. Took me 45 min. to click cute bunny though.

Now that they removed Gameguard i should write a script that launches Aion and places me into q 4 hours before i'm done work so that i can actually play it when i get home

That quest and the quest for the treasure map are sooo bad yesterday. Azphel didn't have the smoothest launch yesterday. There were a lot of lags, dc and queue.

My server has a 3 hour wait and for me who has a job, it's going to be bedtime before I can even get logged in. I'm not going to bother.

But yet half the people who do get online don't log off. They just set up their bazaar mule (think EQ1) so the queues never move. I sat there for 20 minutes and I was still 2294 in the queue out of 2294 in the queue.

Thanks for NCSoft for creating and designing a game that nobody can play.

Thought about trying this game, til I saw some videos on youtube. Nothing ground breaking at all. Same old hack 'n slash, go kill 10 of these and report back for quest completion....I did that for 3 1/2 years in W.O.W.......
I fear the hype with this game will be like that of Warhammer Online and AoC...........only to fizzle out very quickly. Maybe I'm wrong.

I can log on my server any time of day (and do). I'm on Nezekan, the oceanic server.

There where a shitload of people doing that on Zikel as well, just afk setting up shop and selling junk....q was about 45 minutes for me yesterday.

Yeah I have to admit it was the first thing I thought of, I used to do it in a lot of korean MMO's lol. My queue was only 25 min yesterday on Lumiel, I have to say other than the queues this launch has been great for me. Aside from any server problems I haven't had any problems in the game itself. I also applied the coll. edition items to my account yesterday, it was pretty cool this little shugo guy popped up out of nowhere to deliver it.

Is this another archemonde scenario where everyone refuses to play on a smaller server causing massive queues on the "popular servers"? Just trying to get an idea for what I'm in for tonight.........

The servers are separated into East and West Servers. Since I'm east, I made my first characters on an East server - Marchuten, or whatever its called. This was early, and all the servers were light load.

When I logged off and back on later, ALL the east servers were heavy load, and the west servers were light load. To get back on Marchuten, I would have had to sit through a large que (600 or so), so I made some characters on from the opposing faction on a west server, Yuziel, or something.

Now, all the servers are heavy load. But, the largest que I've had for Yuziel is 36 out of 36, which took about 2 minutes to clear though.

Also, having the characters on the west server hasn't really increased my ping time by any noticable amount.

The only thing that worries me, is that was for early access. Now that the game is launched, what on earth will the que times be like?

I hope to god they add some servers, or this is going to be nasty.

But, long story short, I'd suggest hitting the West servers first. At least some of them still have a lower population than any of the east servers.

The Queue's aren't TERRIBLE, as this has been a decently smooth launch. However, they will need to address them.

Zikel where my Asmo's are is usually a 1-2 hour wait. I said, F' that for now.

Marchuten is where Elyos characters are for me, the server is around 20-30 minute queue at peak..not bad at all.


Hopefully they can expand them or add a few more servers pretty quickly. I have No idea what the cap's are on these servers..

I made my guys on Lumiel, which was the only east server that would let me make asmo chars when i was pre selecting. There are still queues on it, but not that bad, only 30-45 min or so. On opening day though I got stuck in a 3 hour queue, so I plan to stay logged in most of this weekend to avoid that...

Not sure if Fallen Earth even officially really launched yet?

Aion has 400,000 subscribers who pre-ordered. No figures yet on launch day.

It launches today. Servers are down at the moment preparing the patch/server for launch which should be in about 30-40 minutes.
