I recently bought a Zalman CNPS9500 LED heat sink/fan cooling solution. I have read the instructions completely several times and visited the Zalman web site to try and decipher the way the air flows across this beast before I install it...the wrong way.
It is going on an EPoX 9NPA+ Ultra and the orientation is verticle (mounting clip), though that really matters not, the fan still faces front or back whether the clip is verticle or horizontal. The fan either facing toward the front of the case or toward the rear. What made matters worse is, I read about a dozen reviews of this product and some have the fan facing the front of the case (pushing to the rear of the case across the fins) and some have the fan facing the rear of the case, indicating the assembly pulls air across the fins and exhausts it toward a case fan at the back of the computer.
Information is very welcome,
