Air Pockets??

I am looking aroung for a case that has aufficent provisions for cooling fans..and recently heard from a vendor that having one fan at front and two at the back( the back includes the PS fan) can create hot air pockets..Is that right...and also wondering would having different fan sizes also be a problem...(for example having a 120mm fan at front and having a 80mm PS fan)?

Not necessarily, it just all depends on the case, but I wouldn't worry too much about hot air pockets, that issue doens't come up much. I have only 1 fan in front and 4 fans in back, (2 exhaust, 1 slot, 1 ps) and I air seems to be moving ok.

the 7980 case I just got from wiredzone.com($109,wth300wp/s)can have 2 in front two on each side,3 in rear(including p/s)one off the case frame,right over the pci/cpu area.I will not have all that,its a server tower,but you could if you wanted.I am going to do a fanbus(fanbus.com)and put pots on some of the fans I will run.

I think what he means by "air pockets" is turbulent air flow, which creates little vortices or "pockets" where air is not flowing smoothly. You don't really have to worry about, just try to keep the case neat and the flow of air in one direction (e.g., don't put fans in the back and front sucking air out, etc.).
