Knowingly filing a false claim is fraud. Filing a false claim could cheat the actual class members of money that is owed to them--this is a fixed fund, so that if the value of valid claims exceeds the amount of the fund, the payment for each claim is reduced. The claims administrator has in place procedures to find false claims, and will take action if false claims are spotted.

I use this sometimes for the placebo effect. It tastes pretty bad, and its expensive, so it has to work.

Honesty? Ethics?

In my case, it's both of those, plus this: it would be like admitting to being a moron for believing in their product in the first place! Heck, they could make double their money back by selling the list of people they settled with

the name of the product sounded familiar but i couldnt put a finger on where I've heard of this before. Then it clicked when I read that people take it for colds - my friend recommended I take that when I was getting sick. It subsequently slipped from my mind and I never got around to taking it.

I got a check in the mail yesterday too!

Now I'm just waiting for my diamond settlement (~$600) and Continental Tire settlement check ($240). Not counting on getting the diamond settlement check, but no doubt I should get the Continental Tire check as I submitted all required documentation for that lawsuit.

My Mom defends this shit product.

I sent her links on how studies showed it did nothing at all to help prevent getting sick or helping you get better sooner when you are already sick and she just wants to ignore the facts.

Drives me nuts seeing her wasting her money on this crap.

Then I saw my brother using this crap last time he was visiting and told him the same shit and he said "well I already paid for it so might as well use it". Ugg.

thing is, and im not going by the link because we went over this very product in my business class in january, that they claimed testing proved this and that...but the testing was basically done by her husband and another guy who started a company just to do the testing, or something like that....im too lazy to look it up, but not to lazy to spout off things about it

Kind of like NBC's reporting on the DragonSkin body armor. Used the owner of DragonSkin to run the test vs the armor the military was using instead of an independent source. Owner ran tests that favored the DragonSkin armor while ignoring the tests where DragonSkin failed and didn't properly equip the military armor.

Back to the OP, my wife bought this stuff a couple of time. I didn't notice any benefit for me or the kids and it just tasted nasty. Would rather stick to my vitamins.

Link? I thought dragon skin was independently tested and came out on top of the defender or whatever the GI issue is called.

I have scientific proof that NOT taking airborne prevents illness.

Last time I traveled, I did NOT take airborne and I didn't get sick.

Oh yeah, and diet coke prevents illness also. Cause I had a diet coke on the plane and I didn't get sick.
