Aircraft pulling water vapor out of the air

What causes this? How/when/why does it happen?

Yeah the plane creates pressure differentials in the air. When the area with the lower pressure reaches the condensation vapor pressure, the water vapor condenses and precipitates.

The shape of the wing plus the angle/velocity that it is moving through the air. Lots of math.....

Similar thing happens in the engines of a jet. At about 3:10 you will see the entire intake turn into vapor.

btw if you look vapor also forms on these giants wings when they take off.

When I was in the Navy I used to see little water vapor tornados going into the jet intake sometimes when they would do full power turns on the engines of the plane I worked on. It was pretty cool to watch along with the dirt and water that would get sucked out of the tie down padeyes when they did this.
