airline with the hottest/ugliest attendants?

i'll start first:

singapore airlines - of all the airlines i've travelled on (not much, mind you), i think singapore airlines staffs the hottest attendants. now, not all of them are teh hawt, but a unreasonable proportion of the girls are gorgeous...just unbelievable. and the sarongs they wear get a nod of approval from me, too!

on the flip side - if you fly united airlines, expect to be served by someone who'll be as old as your mom, and about as attractive as your dad...which is bad cause those attendants are, technically, women.

I don't fly much but I'm heavily connected to the civil aviation business. Singapore airlines is most definitely the best known airline in the world for having good service and attractive attendants.

Air Canada got rid of most of it's younger hotties and the majority of the flight attendants now are 40+ year old married woman with dyed hair and receding gums.

o, what a shame =( i'm guessing that's non-discriminatory hiring law is a huge reason why U.S. airlines have an unfavorable proportion of sexy flight attendants. do those types of hiring laws exist in canada, too?

You'd guess right. Airlines used to have strict appearance rules for stewardesses (ranging from age to weight to makeup to general looks). And slowly each one was sued out of existence by unions.

agreed re: singapore airlines. though i will concede that southwest hired a few gems to work its west coast flights!

i've never flown cathay before, but i hear the service and style of the attendants there are well-regarded

why not? air travel is common these days, and its fairly obvious the domestic carriers's flight crew are cosmetica..er...competitively disadvantaged.

I agree with your take on United. And their service sucks (but not in a good way, you pervs!).

China Airlines has some hotties too.
