thx for the link, but my Airlink was a total crap, buyer be warned. I googled around for a bit to see if that could be fixed and most users seemed to agree with my dissapointing findings on their quality.
I like my Airlink wireless card; no problems so far. The Airlink router is excellent for me with wireless as well, but the wired part looses connection every minute or so. But both of mine are the Super G type.
For a good price and no rebates, I would buy Airlink again.
well my main issue was extremely poor connection consistency and poor reception in general. no offense, but you dont find connection loss every minute or so not problematic? If thats the case with most other routers, I should just forget about all wireless stuff and walk away.
Connection loss is NOT a normal part of WiFi. I had a piece of crap CompUSA brand (FMI OEM, I think?) wireless router that did that.
My Dell Truemobile 2300 has served me faithfully for a couple years now, good solid signal. Broadcom chipset like the famous Linksys ones. They eBay much cheaper though.
This is a good deal at outpst though... i hate rebates
No the wireless part workes perfect. I have not had any connection problems using wireless. But when I use cables and use it as a wired router, that's when I get problems.

my experience with airlink was horrible.... all there products has a high chance of connection drop offs... I replaced it with linksys and everything was all good.
Some airlink products are pretty good (like the 525W MIMO Box) others... well you get what you pay for. However the PCI wireless card is actually quite good. I was very impressed.
Router didn't work well for me at all. I couldn't make a large file transfer over the network. It always dropped the connection. Got the Airlink mimo router though and can't complain. Works very well.Sorta like how I hoped the cheap version would perform. Anyone want to buy it?
Oddly, I also have lan problems. I have their wired print server and can't seem to make it work. I think I've printed 1 page out of 50 attempts. Several test pages using the provided software but none from windows.
Anyone want to buy it?
I bought this card about a week ago because I was looking for a cheap wireless card with linux drivers to stick into a MythTV box that I'm building for my dad. I haven't gotten all the other parts yet, but hopefully this one will do the trick. I just need it in the box so it can download programming schedules - not stream media or anything.
