I hope somebody builds another lighter than air passenger liner in my lifetime, taking a nice long trip in one would be awesome.

it's only 20,000 feet. Any large round like the old 76.2mm's used in WW1 would be able to knock it down. A plain old howitzer laid on a hill would get far enough. It's not like you need to be all that accurate if you shoot enough rounds.

I would think it would be a tad hard to estimate it's location in the sky without reference.

afgans hide in the mountainous terrain when fighting. eyes in the sky nullify that advantage. if you were on that rocky ground you'd want as many eyes in the sky as possible.
