haters are gonna hate... But it's all good. I guess I can understand the assholes who ruin the game but cheating (unfortunately, if there's a game, then there are cheaters).

I haven't been out to a game in about 10 years (but since I just got my first primary on getting back into it, I can't wait!)

bought a bunch of CO2 cartridges from evike for my ghk mag... now looking at ehobbyasia.com, ghk pdw is just 300 bucks.... could be a nice backup, since my inokatsu m4a1 is done...

If you're playing with a bunch of immature, inexperienced pricks, paintball is infinitely better.

Why? Paintballs hurt, and have some form of stopping power. You won't see someone running like a crazy maniac Ramboing everyone down after they've been shot on bare skin from ~30 yards.

I've played both. Airsoft is fun for the realism and tactics aspect, but not fun if you just want to play a 3 vs. 3 with some friends in the woods. Paintball is less accurate (at high FPS they tend to curve wildly), but it's fairly easy to figure out if someone actually got hit. We tend to clock our guns a bit above 300 FPS and don't allow people to wear huge puffy coats, so if there's any question of people wiping paint, just look for a welt. Chances are, they cried out when they got hit anyway.

i think it can go bot ways. same thing, no puffy shirts and stuff... with friends, I think the games will go smoothly. But with immature pricks, both can ruin both games...

Besides, there have been several realistic looking paintball guns!

holy crap after some research that thing is badass...

but 900-1200 bucks with no mags.. and the mags are 125 each..

But that puts even the Systema trainer to shame for a perfect operating replica..

Yeh and then even redwolf says only 500 units are to be released of the extreme version.

I want one.. hell even if I never play Airsoft again.. I want that thing for my collection.

Yeah I've seen stuff like that before - that's not as expensive as I thought they were, either..ejecting shells is pretty spiffy but I imagine that would get expensive quickly!

CVSiN: I was lucky enough that the owner of the gun (whom i bought it from) gave me 2 mags. I then purchased 3 more mags that were half the cost! (67 per) and they run better and more efficient! They only store about 50 rounds, so no more spraying and praying! I also purchased one CO2 mag just to try it out to see how it worked on the gun.

I put down 900 bucks on this gun, + more on the accessories and extra stuff!

The reason why I wanted this gun:

Receiver (upper and lower) are made from Forged Aluminum that has been CNC'd. They used 7075 alluminum (just like the real ar-15) so it weighs just like one. Also, they spec'd this gun out from the real M4A1 as opposed to a model gun one, which is just mm's smaller. this one is 1:1!

This gun also field strips pretty realistically too... A blast to fire... Had to give myself a christmas present for 2010!

Plus the recoil action on this gun. Though it's not shooting like .223, but it sounds/feels much better than the AEG's. Thing is, we can't just start plowing down the field in full auto anymore! 50 rounds makes this thing a little bit higher than the actual ar-15 mag, but a little closer to actually making each shot count!

Yeh 50 is about what we use.
HICAPS are not allowed in MILSIM.
so we use lowcaps.

no spray and pray at all in the groups here as you will be out of mags in 2 secs.

The only thing about your wep for ops would be having to reload in the field and carry large amounts of gas as well to recharge the mags in the field.

i play Airsoft in SoCal. I used to go to Jericho Airsoft up in Simi Valley, but they moved down to Lake Elsinore. Why do I play airsoft? I love to suit-up and go at it, going around corners, setting up ambushes, communicates with friends on the same team to take a bunker or building is fun and at the end of the days, it's all about fun and being honest. Unlike playing paintball, no one can tell if you get hit, but you have to call HIT when you get hit anywhere in the body.

I was fortunate to be able to own (2) Systema, one M4 model and M16 custom model, TM M4 Sopmod, Echo1 M4, and couple others AEG. Bought Woodland Digital and Desert Digital camo from ex-marine i found in forum way back when.

yeah... i'll have 5 mags with me of course, it'll come precharged. and if there's a break, i'll refill them ready for round 2! I can empty an entire mag on a charge of gas. so charge up all my mags...

but it's fun as hell to shoot one. GHK PDW (based on the KAC PDW) is a bad ass system also. Check it out! Now I can take my gun with me, and fire under water with the gas systems! (not that I want to)
