AIW 9600 Pro to be discontinued soon ?

I was doing some online shopping and noticed a few shops say this is soon to be discontinued. Is this True ? What will it be replaced with ?


Also is the AIW 9600 XT the same exact card (with just a faster core/memory) ?

It will be replaced with the 700 other AIW cards available from ATI. Its probably just not a big seller.

I wouldn't be surprised if the 9600 Pro's were discontinued when the XT came out.

Yes, the AIW 9600XT is the same card but with faster core and memory clocks, and will likely be replacing the 9600ProAIW. It makes little sense for them to have two AIW cards that close in speed. ATI also just brought out a 9200AIW, which I presume will be replacing the 9000AIW.
