Aiwa 50 watt powered subwoofer for $29.97@Sears

For all us old dogs who went to way too many Stones concerts in our youth and now don't hear so well, Sears has the Aiwa 50 watt powered subwoofer for $29.97(Sears item # 05790481000).Hey it ain't an AR but for $30 it works good enough for my HDTV set up.

Is this a sale? Do you know the regular price? I wasn't able to find it at amazon.com or aiwa.com, and the Sears website doesn't give a nice model number to search with at other places.

DeafeningSilence, JHawk provided the Sears Item # so you can do a search directly. This is nationwide probably, at least I know it's available in NYC

It's not a TSW60. I wouldn't be incredibly optimistic about this subwoofer, it's 50 watts and only $30, but for that price, it's not like you're blowing an incredible amount of money if something goes wrong. I can't find this sub online, it may be part of a component system that Aiwa stopped making and had an overrun of subs for or something like that... but regardless, I think I'm going to stop by tomorrow after work and get one. If anyone picks up one in between now and then, do us a favor and tell us how it sounds?

I picked one up at the Enfield, CT Sears. It is the TS-WM6. It sounds pretty good so far.

Zodder--works great for me.I like the size--easy to hide--in the area where I have my home theater it is perfect. If you want bass to rattle the windows forget it but for dvds itreally does do well .

Thsi sub uses a single RCA connector cable which is included. I just watched part of an action movie through my home theater system with this sub and it rocked!

I used to have a little Aiwa system and had this Sub before I went crazy with Onkyo and Polk Audio. Aiwa always impressed me with their cost and sound. I paid over $60 for this sub back then and I think it was refurb'd too... it's a good deal and Aiwa are great systems for dorms and apartments. Once you get a house (or some damn good insulation) you'll most likely crave more thump, but Aiwa is pretty damn good as far as mini systems go IMO.

Went to Sears in Moorestown, NJ and was told they had 4 (even placed the order and waited 40 minutes for them to look through the stockroom). They told me finally that they couldn't find it but that the Burlington, NJ Sears had one left and that it was a floor model (10% off). I got up there quickly and picked it up. Excellent sound, I hooked it up to my Aiwa mini theater system and it produces excellent bass. Not earth-shattering () but well worth $30.
