Hopefully. The MDR500/700 were designed for home use, studio use and DJing. I'd surmise they're about 10x more durable than the AIWAs also it's a tradeoff. The AIWAs look very comfortable, but also a tad on the flimsy side.

If not, then why don't these guys give option of USPS mail ? Probably becuase USPS costs are open secret, and they can't add much buffer to it. And also, FedEx, UPS etc give merchants heavily discounted rates for volume.

So, please DO NOT try to justify shipping costs. I am a frugal guy, and would always try to save a buck or few.

But I did find the price of headphones great and have ordered 2 of them, would have been great with cheaper / free shipping

Actually...that heavy discount u speak of is only 10%....for UPS anyways.

The USPS costs could be even higher. Have you shipped anything via USPS lately?? For me to ship a hard drive, the cost was over $6.00. For a hard drive to arrive from Hawaii for me, the cost was nearly $11.00 for USPS. So, yes, I'll justify costs because I do know "real" shipping costs. Not all merchants get "heavily" discounted rates. I used to have access to discounted shipping rates when I used to work for the #2 Fortune company. Sure, there was a discount -- but not major enough to really make a dramatic impact.

And I'm frugal, too - but, I'm also realistic.

go back to their website, go to order status and tell them that you didn't get a order nuber (it was on the page though, right after you submitted your payment) they will send you an email with your order number and tell you that they probably won't ship until friday or monday, because they are still "in transit" to them.
