As requested I placed a link without the referral. Since I got it from TB, figured I should still leave it there to credit them. Only review I could find was on Amazon.

here is the aiwa product link.

hp-ak100

$20 for aiwa highest msrp headphone sounds like a great deal, especially since it uses 50mm drivers.

I wonder how the aiwa line relates to the sony line...

Excellent! I've been looking to pick up a decent set of cans. Impossible to pass up a set like these for this price. Thanks!

5 cm would be about 2 inches. That would be one thick/heavy cable. :Q

I have a pair.

The sound is on the fuller side (mid range), so if you have a thinner sounding walkman, it sounds good. But when I use with AIWA's walkman, I don't like it -- two fuller mid range equipment make a blur sound to my ear.

It is fairly comfortable, I have stick-out ears, it is difficult to find anything not to presure my ears, but this one is actully nice; although I usually use in-ear ones for that reasons.

Is it corded on both sides or just one? I find it very annoying to have both cords on each side, and can't find any info whether it is or not..

at $20 these babies are a steal, I'm picking up one.

but they still do not compare to MDR700s or even MDR500s....Sony is the king of headphones. I'd put Sennheiser over Sony if it werent for their bloated prices.

regardless. $80 for MDR500s and $20 for these.

The only other e-tailer I can find that can compete with this price is Outpost.com, and they have it for $30. So I'll give it a shot and grab a couple pairs. I suppose it can make a good Xmas gift.
