So... I'm sitting @ home, minding my own buisness, and a buddy of mine who is home from school for the hollidays gives me a call. We've been hanging out lately, so thats no supprise. He then says, "you'll never guess who I'm hanging out with!" he's right, because when he says the name, it sounds vaugely familiar, aparrently we knew each other from the swim team in middle school or something. I pretend to remember who it is, because I could tell she was standing right next to him. Anyway, he gives me this fragmented story about how she needs a place to hang out till her mom gets back to town, and not wanting to be rude, I agree for them to come over. I was understandably confused when he said, "hey, there's a cute girl that wants to hang out with you, I shouldn't have to twist your arm"
So I hurridly shower, and dress. And they arrive, my buddy pops his head in, and says, "have fun, I gotta run" and he disapears rather expiedently. I do recognize this girl, although the only thing I really remember other than the fact that we were on the team together is that she lives most of the year in Hawaii.
We talked for about a half hour, and I brought out some chips/salsa, and we caught up real quick. Through the course of conversation, I realized that she had celebrated new years with my buddy, and it then be came a bit more uncomforable for me. My buddy had mentioned that he had hooked up with a girl on new years, and it clicked that this was the girl, I steered the conversation away from new years, and we decided to watch some family guy episodes.
During the second or third episode, she fell asleep, and now, there is this girl I barely know sleeping on my couch, she-s been down for about an hour, and I just feel kind of akward about it. I put a blanket on her.
