This is a great deal if you're looking for a decent widescreen LCD.

no graphic artist in their right mind would do any professional graphics work on any LCD this is a good screen, I've owned a TN panel - I know you said TF but this is a TN right? and one of the snazzy 24" LCD's and people who claim the 24's look soooooo much better on smoking crack. TN is great for price, good overall quality. I mean if you're anal about image quality you shouldn't be on an LCD period ha.

I'd jump all over this if I wasn't a die hard CRT person, whatta deal!

My father-in-law works for disney imagineering and I have visited the disney studios and observed the offices of many artists there. I guess what I saw - a lot of them using LCDs.

I should rephrase that to "most real graphic artists wouldn't touch an LCD" I'm sure a lot do, but most don't. There's nothing cute about inaccurate colors and that's every LCD in a nutshell. I bet these graphic artists were almost all on Macs huh?

I'm really liking this monitor. I think the lower edge of the screen is a little lighter than the rest of the screen (like if I were to view a completely black image, some light would shine through right at the bottom edge), but for normal computer use I haven't noticed any problem, no dead pixels or color issues. It is SOOO much better watching shows and movies on a 22" widescreen than my old 19 inch regular.

I dunno accuracy is kind of nice isn't it? I had a Gateway 24" which I spent a long time fine tuning, I do some print work in Photoshop and I noticed some of the stuff I was printing was coming out off. matching a screen to CMYK is a pain for me even with a good CRT. But, after I dumped the LCD and got a 21" Trintron when I re-opened some of the images I had been working on on a couple of them the difference was night and day. What was red on the LCD looked to have a more pink tinge. I adjusted the colors, reprinted and things came out looking much better.

The average person can't tell much difference between a good LCD and a good CRT. I wouldn't recommend Joe Schmoe sell their LCD and run out to get a CRT, but for those of us who have sensitive eyes and can see the difference, it's a deal breaker

They're actually probably using wide color gamut LCD panels, like the NEC 2180WG. They display about 108% of the Adobe RGB colorspace (97% NTSC gamut), which is way over what a top of the line CRT does. Costly little ah heck though, at $6k. If you're doing high end work though, it's probably worthwhile.

Samsung's new XL30 30" LED backlit LCD takes that up to a 123% Adobe RGB colorspace, and 14-bit internal processing.

If this is still in stock, is the price still valid? I want to use this and go dual monitors. I got one back at the sale price, and I really want another

I decided to jump on this. I've been looking for a good deal on a nice 22" for awhile now. Always seem to just miss them. Now I don't have to be jealous of my friend's 22" Westinghouse that he picked up on Black Friday.

Deal came out to $206.90 with tax and in-store pickup. Seems like a good enough deal to me. Will let you folks know how it goes...

Thanks for the heads up!

I picked one up this morning and, even without tweaking, the screen is gorgeous. No dead pixels as far as I can see. You can't go wrong at this price.

I picked up one this morning as soon as BB opened. Stock is limited to 10 minimum per store. My store was the only one in the area that showed them in stock online.

If you plan to get this monitor then you need to pick it up early today or do an online in-store-pickup.

I love mine. I purchased the same model about 2 months ago for the same $189 price. Its more like $200 after taxes, but I love it. There is significant backlight bleed, but I don't really give a shit. Awesome deal!

Sweet deal here!

I got the monitor, the $8 Targus Groove backpack, and a $1.19 filler pack of gum. The CSR was really nice and took my $40 off $199 coupon from CCity. $150 for the monitor

Well I broke my wife down and I got a second, she thought I was absolutely nuts. I can't wait to hook it up later this evening and see what dual 22" monitors look like. This deal was just too good.

I'll be going over to the Orlando one tomorrow, hopefully it's in stock and the deal still stands.
