Picked mine up on Sunday. I got it home, plugged it in, and there it was... a bright red pixel in the upper-middle of my black screen. I grabbed 2 programs from the web that are supposed to unstick pixels...and even tried the tap and rub, nothing worked. I let the program run for over an hour, and still nothing.

So, I called BB and they said they were out...but wait...oh, we do have one left! They held it for me, and I made the switch.

I now LOVE my Acer 22inch widescreen (Replaced an ADI 6p+ (19inch crt built in 1998). No dead or stuck pixels! Thanks for turning me on to this.

Oh, and my Dad bought one too!

Haha...I got in on this with $130 gift card...ended up only paying $83 for this thing...
btw...anyone want a 15" LCD???
Actually I saw this in the Bestbuy ad last Sunday, drove up to BB after lunch and found 5 laying on the floor, but turned out they were different model...but the rep found 1 for me anyways...
This is a steal...I almost bought the fry's 22" for 199.99 the week before

Well, damn. If I hadn't already bought my Dell 20" HDCP panel, I'd probably be all over this.

They assured me that they never even carried the unit, however, when I asked for a store manager I noticed a guy carry the unit they had on display into the back room.
A short time later they miraculously "found" my unit and proceeded to haul the box out of the same back room that the display had gone into.
It was sealed with "Inspected by Best Buy" tape and I accused them of trying to sell me a display for new.
Things got ugly after that.:thumbsdown::thumbsdown:

So what happen?

Picked mine up yesterday. Very nice monitor for the price, no dead pixels or any bleeding on mine.

I picked mine up and the store had a stack of 5. At noon, I was apparently the first one to purchase one of these beasts due to the fact that they couldn't find them. (And wouldn't have without my encouragement.)

I love everything, and it is a massive improvement from my 17inch CRT. I rec this to anyone and everyone. Games are perfect, and I was worried with the 5ms response time. As far as colors go, I haven't noticed anything.

One question for other owenrs though, you know between your desktop background and the silver border, how there is a tiny bit of black space. It seems to be a bit wider on the right side of my monitor than on the left. As in, it is as though the viewable image was shifted a couple millimeters to the left. Being my first LCD, I don't know if this is a monitor or video card problem. Hows everyone elses? Does the viewable part seem centered?

Well i got this monitor also, great deal, pictures look awesome, games and movies also.

Only thing i cant tweak is the blurry text. I have tried the custom timings in the control panel for my 8800gts. Disabled the clear type front in effects, and its still kind of blurry? Anyone got any suggestions?

might want to check the thread over at fatwallet for this monitor. someone mentioned that the 8800 cards have some type of problem with 22" lcds and posted some type of workaround

Thanks op i grabbed on last night. Unfortunatly i got one with a stuck/dead pixel right in the middle of the screen. You could not see it in normal windows but play a game or play a movie and it stuck out like a sore thumb. It was bright orange. I went back today and grabbed the last one. Hopefully i get one with no stuck/dead pixels this time around. I really enjoyed the LCD overall though. It was so impressive to look at. The colors where not as good as my 1905FP Dell but thats a 8 bit panel and i didn't expect the colors to be as good. It would be nice if it had a height adjustment but beggers can't be choosers.

Mine had a very annoying bright green stuck pixel in the middle of the screen as well. It was very stubborn, tried turning monitor off, press the spot and powered the monitor on, didn't do anything. Tried the flashing color programs for at least 4hrs and it didn't do anything, so finally I just leave the monitor on, and press in to the lcd till white spots came out, (not just on that spot, but surrounding it) and release. Finally it took it away.

Stoik: go instore. Some of them have them left

I went to get my replacement tonight and i was worried about a review i read on newegg. Apparently this guy bought 12 of these puppies and he said 8 out of 12 had a stuck pixels. So i just prayed my replacement wouldn't. So i rush home after work and plug it in, thinking the whole time i will see a stuck pixel. Well guess what....PERFECT. WOOHOOO. Now time to try to get the colors closer to what i want. I went into the advanced color correction in the nvidia drivers (i have a 6600gt) and i can tell you right now i am EXTREMLY happy with how it looks. Still not as great as the 8 bit panel but still damn good. I would recommend doing the same for anyone that has the monitor. I couldn't getting it to look right by just using the controls on the OSD. For $189 this thing is a steal. I thought about getting a used 1905fp but it was almost going to cost as much as this and this screen is MUCH MUCH bigger. Now if i only had two of them .

do those 10% BB coupons work as well?

Just got back from bestbuy and no they will not take the 10% or 12% coupons on laptops or pc monitors. At least I got the laptop, 22" acer and the 20" westinghouse. The $349 laptop was a impulse buy from looking at the Sunday paper 30 minutes before opening. I'm not going to open it until I look at the specs due to the restocking fee.

I bought it first then went back in an hour later and said that I forgot the coupon. The CSR didn't even look at it. She did a return then a re-buy and gave me 10% off. She wouldn't do 12% saying that I needed to use my BB credit card, which isn't what the coupon said, but I wasn't going to have her try and read it just to find that monitors weren't listed.

So what happened?
After being given the runaround since Sunday, I called today and relayed the message to the "Service Manager" that I was going to write a letter to the state A/G.
Within two hours, I got a call back from someone who was never before involved in this (to my knowledge) with the information that they were about to order one from their warehouse.
Said it would be here within a week.
These people are ugly to do business with.

Damn, I really wanted to pick up the last 22" WS deal, then just saw this one, and it's sold out at my BB. Man I gotta hit up Hot Deals more often.

This is a great deal if you're looking for a decent widescreen LCD.

no graphic artist in their right mind would do any professional graphics work on any LCD this is a good screen, I've owned a TN panel - I know you said TF but this is a TN right? and one of the snazzy 24" LCD's and people who claim the 24's look soooooo much better on smoking crack. TN is great for price, good overall quality. I mean if you're anal about image quality you shouldn't be on an LCD period ha.

I'd jump all over this if I wasn't a die hard CRT person, whatta deal!

For all the people who got in on this deal, do any of you know how to get this monitor to accept 1400x1050? I need it for my older non-widescreen games (Warcraft 3, CNC: Generals, etc.) but it doesn't come up as an option. NVIDIA drivers for XP allowed custom resolutions, but I'm on vista now, and that's not an option yet...
