[*]PunkBuster does not like fixed .exes
[*]No CD patches carry the risk of infection by trojans
[*]One has to wait for the no CD patch to be updated whenever a patch for the game is released

Got it. Will the current version of Alcohol 52% work with the current version of Starforce, or is Starforce still ahead?

Its always been trivial to mount an ISO image in Linux.
# mount myiso.iso /mnt/iso/ -o ro,loop=/dev/loop0

That's how my cousin watches the Netflix he returns before he's had a chance to see them. Probably a violation of the DMCA, but he deletes the images after he watches them. I don't know why he just doesn't use vobcopy. What I really don't know is why he bothers watching Hollywood movies in the first place.

There is a bit of a learning curve for Linux, but its scary powerful, oh yah, and free. But a word of warning, unlike the culture of piracy that seems to pervade the Windows world, after using open source software for a few years the idea of stealing someone's IP becomes almost physically repulsive for most people.

I installed it under Server 03, and nothing shows up there, either. No entry in Add/Remove Prg. for Alcohol or toolbars. I don't see any toolbar in FF2 or IE7. What gives?

It looks like the toolbar only gets installed on XP Home & Pro.

It's funny that you say that right after saying he rips DVDs. That's like saying I pirate programs, but I close them when I'm done using them. I don't think it has anything to do with the culture of linux and/or Windows.

I do agree that most movies out of Hollywood suck these days though.
