*ALERT* Connect3D GTO No Longer Moddable!

Just ordered 2x Connect3D GTOs from newEgg on Monday.
Both are unmoddable with the following fuse data :

CONFIG_DIE_FUSES : 0xEFF3EFFF
CONFIG_SUBSTRATE_FUSES : 0xFFFFF71E

Now what on earth am I going to do with these cards

According to the site that had the original instructions. Unmoddable cards are showing up more and more

Just don't mention anything about it being moddable in your ad and your in the clear...

Wonder how much I can fetch for it?

I'm still in the process of testing them, but they both seem to reach insane OC'ed speeds (580/510 so far) so it should perform quite a bit better than a X800XL and X850 Pro.

Anyone interested? $155 shipped or so and it's yours

Well, got one of them finally to 580/545.
Just might keep it, since it's basically a X800XL/X850 Pro (performance-wise),
both of which cost >= $250.

Don't feel too bad. Even if they can't be flashed, these GTOs seem to be extremely overclockable. You're kinda getting 6800GS class performance for ~$50 less

Assuming the GTO^2 will still unlock, that would be the better deal over a 6800GS. ONly thing with the GTO^2 is you are still going to be getting what you pay for (compared to GTO), unlike the GTO which was a steal.

I believe the GTO^2s are around $240, so its still a lot better of a deal than an X850XTPE.

Okay, am in the process of playing with one of the cards. 580/545 stable (12 pipes only) but scored a very decent 6181 3DMarks (2005). FEAR at 1024x768 2xAA, 4xAF, everything maxed out (w/o soft shadows) @ 1024x768 : 0% < 25fps, 45% 25-40fps, 55% > 40fps.

Don't intend to start a flame war here (*layers crotch with asbestos just in case*), but is SM3.0 support really that big an issue? The game I'm most concerned with is Oblivion, but who knows when that's coming out?

IMHO, the GTO^2 is not a great option. Might as well pony up the additional $25 - $50 to get a 7800GT

The R480 would still perform a bit better since it's a tweaked version of the R420
