He's been dragging it out. That's why the judge went nuclear. And he was already on like his 7th lawyer or something.

Hadn't heard that about the lawyers. It gives you a clue about his behavior. He is responsible for locating documents being requested by the plaintiffs and he isn't handing it over to his lawyers. The lawyers can get sanctioned for it too, so they're getting fed up and quitting one after another. They're tired of making embarrassing excuses for him in court.

Jones is circling the drain, much like Lindell. I'd say in about a year that Jones, Lindell and Guiliani will all be sleeping under the same overpass, sharing nostalgic stories about the good old days when their heads were in the warm embrace of Trump's fat ass cheeks.

Want to see something hilarious about Jones? Hosted on SPLC's website but you can find it on youtube.

Jones hires someone to shoot some kind of propaganda film for him. In it, he rants about Trump, saying "God I'm so fucking sick of Donald Trump. I wish I'd never even met him." And numerous variations of that.

Later he messages the film maker asking him to remove the footage of him ranting about Trump.

And this:

Robertson also told Hatewatch that off camera, Jones took delight in belittling his own audience, suggesting he could sell them “dick pills” and claiming they would “buy anything.”

“Alex Jones doesn’t care about most of the stuff he professes to,” Robertson told Hatewatch over Skype from his home in London. “It just shows he doesn’t care about anything he talks about. He doesn’t like Trump but then goes on camera talking about how Trump is the savior.”

He doesn't actually believe a word that comes out of his own mouth? You don't say?

The entire right-wing welfare system exists to keep those thought leaders indoors and supplied with microphones.

If there was any justice in this country, Newt Gingrich would have committed seppuku decades ago. Yet that shitbag's wife was just Ambassador to the fucking Vatican 9 months ago.

i'm not so sure about Guiliani, he's doesn't look the healthiest and seems to have a drinking problem from what has been reported, in a year's time he might be pushing up daisies.

Well that's too bad. I'd rather him live long enough to see his entire life go to complete shit.
What could have ever been right about his adult life? I can't imagine that the seeds of his madness were not there since childhood.

Like so many politicians, not to mention many other humans, he's likely been ego driven his entire life. This drive brought great success for a long while. In the 80's he successfully prosecuted the Mafia "commission," bringing down three of the five heads of NY's "Five Families" in one trial. Later he was mayor during 9/11. Everyone praised him, democrats included.

But then he lost a bid in the GOP primary for POTUS. He seems to have desired continued relevance and acclaim, and so he hitched himself to the Trump train, being complicit in rampant lies and corruption. He's being sued for like a billion dollars now and is going to lose. He's been disbarred in 2 states. Trump wouldn't even pay his legal fees for supporting his "stop the steal" fraud.

If he wanted to preserve his legacy, he should have retired 5 years ago and did interviews reminiscing about 9/11. But he just couldn't do it.

Very likely he's hated himself his entire life.

Like I sez .... it ain't over 'til the fat boy quits screaming:

............................

Jones and his attorney in Connecticut, Norman Pattis, criticized the Texas judge’s ruling in a statement on the Infowars website.

“It takes no account of the tens of thousands of documents produced by the defendants, the hours spent sitting for depositions and the various sworn statements filed in these cases,” they said. “We are distressed by what we regard as a blatant abuse of discretion by the trial court. We are determined to see that these cases are heard on the merits.

He means they will likely appeal the ruling. Probably not successfully as this sort of ruling is usually considered discretionary the the trial court so only in rare cases would they overturn it.

Unfortunately, neither are likely to happen. FFS, Peter Popoff is still wealthy with a large following giving him huge sums even long after James Randi exposed him as a fraud who mocks the people he grifts.
Jones will be no different. And for a few million out of pocket here, he'll even get away without having to reveal what he really thinks about his viewership.

Indeed. My point was that because I believe your description of him to be accurate, I would personally hope, not that he sees his entire live go to shit, as it has always been that way, but rather that he recover the dignity stolen from him as a child and find contentment within. Not likely I know.

Like I said, appeals, appeals, more appeals, motions, delays .....

He'll never voluntarily pay a dime. Courts are not usually willing to seize property and assets, even if they issue garnishment orders. It might come to that, but we're still looking at possibly years down the road.

I used to advocate a system where both parties would put up a bond or escrow of some type to be held by the court and distributed upon judgement/settlement. But there have been so many just flat out wrong rulings and manipulations to the system, that it could be too easily abused.

There is no way in a proper system that a case like this would have taken as long as it has. It should have been done in a few months at most.

Jail time for contempt citations might speed things up quite a bit in some cases, but do we really want to clog the jails with that kind of thing?

Eh, maybe. Appeals usually take about one year.

You can enforce judgments by attaching bank accounts and liening property, without a court order.

Alex Jones will reside for eternity inside Rush's rectum, who, in turn, resides for eternity inside the rectum of Jerry Falwell. This circle will continue. It's the fascists' circle of Hell's version of the Turducken.
When Rush lived just long enough too see trump crushed on November 3rd I began to think maybe there is a God. Of course he jumped on the "it was stolen" bandwagon in milliseconds for his radio show, deep down inside he knew trump just got hammered.

These people know exactly the kind of scum they attract and wouldn't live in the same neighborhood as them. You don't think Trump has utter contempt for his plebes?

This is at once both totally apposite and totally nauseating.

I applaud you.

As a man much wiser than the Dalai Lama himself once softly, and confidently answered when asked about one of life's most stubborn mysteries: "It's rectums, all the way down."
