Is that even legal? I thought a bedroom had to have a window for emergency exit reasons.

That's what I was thinking. How is that even legal. What school do you go to. I wouldn't pay if that was the situation I was put in

what are you gonna do with a window on the 15th floor of a dorm tower?
I'd have a little conversation with the housing department about any openings that may have appeared and ask if renting the closet to you is allowed under fire code (no way in hell it is). If they stonewall I'd mention that you're going to check with the local fire marshall just to be sure.
Updated!
They would just offer me a more expensive room or a room with a roommate
I like this room
Honestly, it's kind of meh. If you won't go for Soviet propaganda posters, how about the Marines circa 1944? Old military posters from WWII would look sharp, and they'd go with the industrial design also :^)
I can't say that I blame you. I'd take a room like yours in an instant if it meant that I could live by myself.
I have this
Pic Clipped
from 1942 but with a modern marine in front of him
That's better. It stimulates the imagination a bit more imo. The modern recruiting posters make it look too...um... I don't know, I guess new, and academic(go figure, eh? :^D). I guess it strikes me as being too common, and not so special. Vintage stuff lets you disappear to a different place every so often. Old pinup girls would look good too. Not too many; maybe just an old calendar or something. Accessorize in olive drab, and that room would be pretty slick. Camo netting hung from the ceiling would rock, but might not be so popular with the chicks :^D
Edit:
grammar
You're indian, what did your parents say about you joining the Marines?

Let in fresh air when the building is filling with smoke?
