What i dont understand is, if they've made contact for more than 60 years, HOW has all that contact been covered up?

Meaning, do aliens only contact the relatively few people who work at NASA compared to the world's 6 billion+ population?

Eh.

Ya dont, you just ridicule people who talk about it. You fund newspapers like the Enquirer (which didnt make a profit for the first um 8-10 years of existance [supposidely funded by the CIA back in the day]) to constantly publish 1/2 truths until anyone who suggests otherwise is immediately assumed to be nuts.

In short, its easy

It does seem odd that magazines like that were always around, yet no one seemed to actually buy them.

Dr Mitchell, 77

Who knows, maybe he isn't crazy. But 77 seems about the right age for dementia to set in.

It would be cool though if it where true.

So all governments are conspiring to cover up the existences of aliens in some massive joint effort. I mean we can't get along with half the world, but for some reason we're all working together to not let people know about aliens!!!!

Also, it's funny that the Gov has been able to cover up every single communication or trip aliens have made to earth. They travel how far? With what technology? Yet they can't make a trip to earth without the CIA knowing?

Ok. lol

She's good since Madonna took over the role.

If aliens exist, they should not look anything like us. There is no reason why aliens should share ANY physical similarities with us.

So they won't have legs or arms or prehensile 'thumbs".
What if they drop their Visa?

There are millions of variations of body designs, depending on the environment in which the being evolves. Why should aliens look like us? It is not impossible, but very unlikely. People tend to anthropomorphize everything around them.

If I keep replying, will you keep backtracking?

Yet everyone is so anxious to find "the chemicals of life" (as we know them) on extra terrestrial objects. Who's to say an alien species has cells like an earth being?

i would make the following presumptions:

1) life arises and thrives under a certain set of circumstances, similar to the circumstances on earth.

2) similar traits would be advantageous in both locations, ie limbs to provide motion, etc.

3) intelligence only arises in social animals, and advanced intelligence is only useful for social creatures that have the physical capacity to manipulate their environments, ie humans with opposable thumbs.

with all these assumptions, we can assume its possible or even probable that aliens would be roughly similar in structure, but perhaps very different in the specifics of their form.

Intelligent life probably exists, but the likely hood of us making contact with each other is pretty much nil, even if we survive as a species until the sun starts to die, expands, and swallows up the planet.

I would almost come to the same conclusion, but then I would realize that we're using a sample size consisting of only one planet and only one intelligent species. It seems kind of fallacious to assume that because we used the social animal/standing upright/opposable thumb path to intelligence, that that's the only possible path.

It DID happen with us so we know that it can happen that way, but that's all we know. I'm of the opinion that aliens, should they exist, would likely be wildly different from anything found on this planet.

That's a lot of assumptions coming from an idiot jk
