Aliexpress Anniversary Sale

Aliexpress is near the end of their Anniversary Sale. Think it goes through the 27th, tomorrow.

Lots of cheap widgets to be had around $2 ea. if you click the homepage link to the "From $0.89 Anniversary Sale Free Shipping" popup, where once you have 3 items in that special cart, you get free shipping and can also stack the $2/$4/$5 off coupon code shown on that sale page.

I'm not new to Aliexpress, they often have low prices but this sale undercuts their regular prices on a lot of items.

I placed an order earlier this month, took about 2-1/2 weeks to arrive, then another today.

Supposedly AE and Temu's apps will harvest data but I just used Chrome desktop browser. Firefox is broken on their site.

I use Opera with their free VPN and ad block. I prefer to not buy from here. I dont trust them just like I dont trust Tik Tok.

What security issues are there going to be on a secure desktop browser? Think this is a bit different than profiling on social media sites or an app pulling data off a phone.

They can roughly geolocate me by IP if not on my VPN and that's about it. If they are keeping track of my having bought some banana plugs and USB widgets, I'm okay with that. It's a lot less than Amazon or Google try to do.
