That is HOT. However, I just can't bring myself to order another mobo with AGP. ATI and nVidia are REALLY holding out with NO AGP parts for reasonable prices. The AGP cards are anywhere from 15% to 50% more than their PCI-E counterparts.

I bought this about a year ago when it was a $129 combo at Frys, however, I don't think it was an Nforce3 mobo.... Great deal!

Kinda funny tho, not too long ago, I went to upgrade the mobo, and accident bent and broke a pin on the CPU! 8-0 I was crushed but decided to try to RMA the proc even tho I knew it was not a boxed proc... Serial number came up in their system as a boxed proc w/3 year warranty! w00t! And they replaced my 3000 with a 3700! Yeehaw!

I was looking for a combo like this. I currently have a Barton 2500+ at 2.0 GHz and an X850XT. I want an AGP mobo with an A64 chip for cheap, so this fits the bill.

With the 3000+ what kind of results would I see performance wise? I assume I would be alleviating the bottleneck from my CPU, but by how much? I can currently play BF2 at highest settings at 1280x1024, but with no AA/AF...would I now be able to run AA/AF?

I should note that this is just to upgrade this system in particular. I plan on building an entirely new system sometime later this year, so I'm not looking for future proofing, just a better match for the X850XT.

I bought this combo from Fry's 2 weeks ago for $119.99. Mine was a boxed Venice core. I'd expect the Outpost deal to be the same. You absolutely cannot go wrong with this deal. $99.99 is incredible!

I've had 2 other ECS boards that never gave me problems. The anandtech review on this board seemed to have good comments. The only thing I didn't like is the IDE ports are on the bottom and I have a tall case. I still got one anyway.

they've been pretty good, you can check the thread about the sempron to see how other people have been doing with them.
