Usually the words "754-pin Box CPU" means retail box. It's on the product page twice, and on your order history page as "Box."

BTW....boxed CPU = retail right? if so...this is better then the sempron deal because that one was OEM.

I bought this combo from Fry's 2 weeks ago for $119.99. Mine was a boxed Venice core. I'd expect the Outpost deal to be the same. You absolutely cannot go wrong with this deal. $99.99 is incredible!

Not only that, this is a retail chip.
That Sempron combo was OEM and no HS/fan.

That's exactly what it reads on the ad (dfw area). Sorry I have no link to show that but take my word for it. I believe how it works is Fry's will give you a fry's gift card equivalent to that same amount.

I picked up this combo at Fry's this morning, it was a little crowded but not too crazy. They had plenty of these combos at the Industry, CA Fry's. I also picked up the antec 500w smart power supply for $14.99 AR which is an amazing deal.
