I signed up for osmething like this and instead of actually getting the magazine I got something that almost sounded like a scam. Some group called me and said they made a mistake on my order so they wanted to further give me x months to make up for. Plus they were going to give me two more magazines of my choice. This all for only $4.95 weekly. (This is for 3 montly magazines) for the next sixyty months. Not once did they stop and give me a chance to state I did not want the magazines. They kept right on going saying would you like to recieve the free magazies, you answer yes, ok and that is a visa card you have just for verfication purposes correct? You answer yes, then ok we will get the free magazines out to you. .....
Thats when I am like hold on now, this is not going to go down like this. So I got their number from Caller ID. I read research on the company, started threatening them that I was going to contact the US Postal Inspectors Services as well as the FBI. I basically chewed the guy out pretty good because he would not give me a return number or let me speak to a manager. I finally got him to agree that he was deleting my info from the database and he assured me what was going on was not a scam, but boy it sounded like one to me. I *69ed to get the number and I returned the call. Nothing but ringing off the hook, but I have kept it, the conversation and the info that was giving of the name of the comapny and such. I kept in just in case I did have to follow through on a scam..
But back to my point, becareful of some of these as they are scams. Not saying this one is, but dont give out any info that could make it where you could somehow be charged.
