No, again like so many here you are very wrong. Almost all MADE in this country is just horseradish, but you can get real wasabi in many places.

We still tend to have it sent directly from Japan though as it works out much lower cost and we can get better brands.

In almost every major area there are stores that have plenty of real wasabi. Most think their local Publix/Krogars/etc is an all stop shop for the neighborhood.

I'm going to take a full lunch hour today. I might even take my laptop and go straight to the library to finish the work day, since I have a ton of stuff to do by the end of the week. But back to the leisurely lunch. If I'm walking, I've narrowed it to the mac and cheese place or the falafel place. I'm leaning falafel, except I'd have to sit outside and it's about 40 out.
