You are not debt free if you are in foreclosure, have any car payments, any CC payments, etc.
But he's screwing your mom, bro...:hmm:

he's oblivious to his failure. we aren't though

Getting rid of CC debt at 40 is the opposite of impressive. That is just financial irresponsibility finally being sutured up by an aging man. That same man proceeds to spend irresponsibly on a car and foreclose on his house. Doubly irresponsible and unimpressive.
Get over your desire to impress the Internet and desperate women, and start to realize the fact that you will be working well into your 70's to support your irresponsible spending in an attempt to chase fleeting adolescent ends.
I disagree on the CC debt. that is a damn good idea. I have seen to many people dig a deep hole with CC debt it fucks them over.
keep a CC pay it off each month
why does everything always have to be a pissing match, a tit for tat with everyone here? can't we all just get along?
debt free means not paying. he ain't paying so he is Debt FREE!
sheesh.()
I never said get rid of CC, I said get rid of CC debt. Using a CC (for rewards, cash back, whatever) each month and paying it off is very prudent. Having ongoing CC debt at 40 is an indication of poor financial decisions which he has clearly continued.
lolwut? I don't have CC debt anymore. That CC debt though (the majority, about $70k of it) was financing my second college education on them at 5 and 6% fixed. I graduated at 31 and entered a bad job market for programmers in 2001, and then the homebuilding industry had a salary freeze for 4 years of that.
Its all worked out though, in the last 2 years I paid off $80k in CC debt.
You need to pay better attention unless you are trying to be a liar.
I'd say the guy with two vehicles barely worth $10k is the failure.
My foreclosure case has nothing to do with my lack of paying.
horrible attempt. so because i have two perfectly working vehicles that are pair off and 10 years old, i'm a failure?
LOL.
you're divorced.
you're in foreclosure.
you're having a mid life crisis
hey, you lost weight and look decent. that's great, that doesn't pay your house note.
you, sir, are a failure in life.
I've paid off my vehicles. The thought of a car payment makes me nauseous now. I'd rather have 3 older cars than 2 with payments. I say 3 that way I can down one for repairs as needed and never miss a beat because of my 3rd vehicle.

Haha...yes, I'm the liar...that is humorous to say the least.
My point is that you are attempting to impress the Internet and desperate woman that a middle aged man has payed off his debt and finally landed a decent job. To top it off, you spend money like you won the lottery (and brag about it) when in fact you are in foreclosure. This is adolescent behavior and we are not impressed. But don't let that stop your continued irresponsibility. Sally forth!

Not trying to really impress anyone. When someone is wrong, I will correct them.
My foreclosure has nothing to do with me not paying on my home though. Also I am a high wage earner.
You are either pissed off or jelly.
Lol, I had two cars that were paid off. My interest rates are 3%. My money is doing better in my portfolios. I already have $11k in equity in my M3 BTW, bought it in January this year. My soon to be ex-wife's 2012 is now worth more than even trade in so that's moving along.
I divorced my wife, it's hardly indicative that I am a failure.
No midlife crisis, bro...pretty much have been the same way forever. Fast cars, modifications, going out, etc.
I paid $120k towards my house in 4.5 years, when none of that money showed up as applied, I stopped paying further, hired an attorney and took them to court.
