I'm still curious to see how Samsung managed power consumption of 4 x A15 (w/ 4 x A7). I didn't seriously think Exynos 5 Octa would make into a phone considering Exynos 5 dual on Nexus 10, but they're really doing it.. At 1.8 GHz no less.

An extra ~8 mm^2 for 4 A7 cores that handle ~99.9% of a normal phone workload with far less power consumption is a no-brainer for a high end chip. Heck, IMO the A15 cores are only there to look pretty on bar charts.

I hope the screen is still S-AMOLED. It better be. I am very much looking forward to this phone.

Funny enough what I am most interested in is seeing what the phone physically looks like.

I reckon it'll be closer to the S3 than the S2. Although they may go back to the squarer S2 side design to fit a larger screen in a similar sized body. Either way I hope they keep the more rounded top and bottom of the S3.

Also I hope they start out with at least the option of a larger battery rather than waiting an age to offer it like the S2 and S3.

Samsung really need to raise their game with respect to accessories.

theyre improving cell phones way faster than they have to, my gs3 still feels new. im hoping gs4 still has a replaceable battery, samsung is the only company with that feature, and their phone are jsut as thin as motorola/htc/....

Beyond the phone itself, I hope it has an improved smart dock similar to the Note II. I'd love to plop my phone into the dock and have it automatically set my browser to 'desktop' and maybe switch to a desktop style email client.

Me too. I can live without a MicroSD slot (I wouldn't like to) if the device is 32GB. But I am hooked on swapping batteries instead of nightly charging.

+1

When i bought the S3 i was happy about the quad A9 because they were powergated, and had fine granularity. I knew i was never going to use more than 2 cores, so that meant that for my light usage, batterylive would be nice. And it was excactly like that.

For me the S4 is even better. I know i hardly ever use my A9 100%, so 2 A7 cores will do the job with very little use. Perfect - if the little-big concept is going to work for saving battery...

Btw, what is it about the 8 mm2 number? As i understand it by Hans de Vries numbers an A7 is only 0.45 mm2 with L1?
