Yeah...

Anyway, once you get your large MicroSD (bench it when you get it because I'm considering it myself as an upgrade to my 32GB) and you're rooted (Motochopper it) you could try FolderMount to have your apps on the MicroSD : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.devasque.fmount

Actually even a slower MicroSD shouldn't be a problem as some would have you believe. My Nexus S has much slower internal flash compared to any Class 10 card for instance and apps launch just fine.

Actually I bought that app the day it was obvious that AT&T won't have a white 32GB version (I am hooked on the white now).

Side note: In the S4 commercials, every female has a white one and every male has a black one. If that is what Samsung believes then basically they are saying women don't need 32GB phones, which is basically implying women use their smartphones for less.

Yeah I read this huge debate on XDA between the cards and many people were saying "you will never notice the speed difference!"

For me its more about the fact that this card will basically be internal memory for the life of my S4 because after some soul searching I realized I never actually take the SD card out of my phone (that is what my tablet is for). So if my S4 is getting a permanent 64GB upgrade I'd rather pay the money and get the best card possible.

I ordered a cheap orange tpu case, http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00BLT..._26725410_item

I picked up a cheap black one with a blue aluminum back in a street fair for about 5 bucks yesterday. Needed something until the orange one came in. I normally don't do cases but the s4 is thin and light so I am not taking any chances.

Actually, it may not be true tpu but it's cheap and should do the trick.

For those that got it from Tmobile, do they do any subsidizing of the phone anymore or is it going to be $629 any way you go about it?

They offer interest free loan. Even after the $20 a month for the phone they are still as cheap as others and price goes down once it's paid off.

I played with the S4 at an AT&T store. They had it sitting right next to the HTC One.

The screen of the S4 is absolutely gorgeous. Could have been because it was a bit brighter but just seemed a bit more crisp and clear. The phone was very fast and smooth playing with the demo unit and the apps on it. Couldn't figure out the eye tracking in the few minutes I used it but don't imagine it being useful for me.

I've got an ip5 and love it for the size. I must say that I was very impressed with the S4. Don't know if I could deal with the larger physical phone if I did I think it would be this one.

The HTC One has a very nice build to it. Feels sturdy and complete in the hand. Not that the S4 didn't but felt a tad cheaper and flimsy with the plastic. The screen of the One didn't seem as nice. The interface was smooth and zippy so no complaints there. Front facing speakers are amazing. The physical phone keeps drawing me but long run I think I'd prefer the S4. I like to customize and that'll have the better options.

I think adding new devices might backlash on them considering the fact that Samsung has tried harder to differentiate themselves from Apple in recent years.

A dumb Samsung lawyer might not can tell the difference between a Galaxy Tab and iPad, but you would have to be blind to not easily spot the difference in size between a S4 and a iPhone even across a room.

The Galaxy S4 is currently considered the latest "threat" to Apple's iPhone 5. Before, it was the Galaxy S3, which Apple went for in its previous trial. Now that the Galaxy S3 is put on the backburner to give its successor a chance at success, Apple is refocusing its crosshairs on the seemingly more recent and prominent product.
Wow, no one would *ever* have predicted this.

Is there anyone left that still believes these lawsuits aren't utter BS that are only about stifling the main competition, not actually about infringement?

Imagine Samsung made aluminum S4.. If the S4 looked like the HTC One as the critics wished the talking point of the S4 would be Apple-related patents throughout.

FUSE is plenty fast with a non-old CPU on Linux last time I tried ntfs-3g.

On my GS4, using FUSE for exFAT doesn't seem slower than regular FAT32 (15mb/s sustained sequential writes). Probably uses more CPU though.

Does Androbench work for you on your S4 (it crashes on mine)? I would love to see the 4k numbers.

AndroBench has no way of specifying /storage/sdcard1 to test (it only tests the internal card since it chooses either /data or /sdcard, both of which are the same storage area).

In any case, my card has bad 4k performance even with FAT32 (which is why if your Samsung 64GB turns out good I'm thinking of upgrading to that one).

Ah ok. Well then I will mark that as problem solved for file systems. Good timing too, I was going to make a "What is the best file system for large SD cards" thread tonight.

As annoying as the messed up audio/headphones issue is, I have been impressed by the battery life when running on the energy saver mode.
