The auto-Loki recovery is here:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2291956

Now us AT&T folks can flash whatever we want.

Personally I am loving the AOKP ROM. I think the kernel can only use two cores and its still WAY much smoother than stock ROM.

Awesome, I look forward to non-LOKI'd ROMs showing up that I can try =D

On a clean, de-odexed, T-Mo ROM right now though. Works without any problems.

I'm thinking they should just combine the T-Mo, ATT and Canadian forums.

So when format as Ext4, my SD card automounts in AOKP and works like a fat card does. Plus I found a zip you can flash to mount a ext card in CWM for nandroid.

Gonna bench it now.

I received last night my Samsung 64GB and benched it but it performed like the USB reader did (capping at 20MB/s) so only randoms are improved.

Did some hunting around for information and there's a chance that only the i9500 has a UHS-1 interface. Oh Samsung, how much I despise this model mix you inflict upon us. First the camera module, now the card reader.

What's the issue with the camera module?

The i9500 has the Exmor RS while the i9505 has the Exmor R (which is a souped up version of the iPhone 5 sensor).

It's interesting that the Exmor R in the i9505 outperforms the Exmor RS in the Xperia Z because of software though.

Just picked up a new SGS4 32GB in black. It feels nice to be back to Android after a couple of years with an iPhone 4S.

Not sure I understand...
So, Exmor RS is superior to Exmor R.
The Xperia Z has the more superior Exmor RS but because of Sony's shitty implementation as usual, the inferior Exmor R in the i9505 even outperforms it.

Has there been image comparisons between the i9500 Exmor RS, which is supposedly more superior than the "souped up" version of the iPhone 5 Exmor R sensor present in the i9505?

My S4 should be here Wednesday.
Upgrading from the Evo 4G on Sprint to the S4 on Verizon. Wife already has her NoteII and loves it.

Overall, the RS is supposed to handle bright saturated details better and has a bit less noise. But honestly my i9505 has gotten really good results so if there's a slight difference it certainly isn't something that matters most of the time.

Remember, it's all A7 or all A15. Per pair switching, if ever enabled, should make a big difference.

Per pair switching is impossible with the GS4's Exynos; it's some sort of hardware bug anyway.

I also wouldn't be so certain that it'll lead to great battery life improvements. The switchover (even per core) isn't exactly free. For light tasks like web browsing, the most efficient mode would be to do it all on the A7.

I'm not very happy with my battery life so far. Just sitting around the house this weekend on WiFi 100% and rather light usage (~2.5hr screen time), I was down to 10% in just 14 hours. Seems slightly worse than my GS3.

That's not right at all. Wifi usage has been one area where the s4 battery has been stellar for me. I usually get around 1-1.5 percent per hour idle drain when connected to Wifi at home even with several persistent background tasks running. I had a similar issue with the gs3 when I first got it. Something was causing high battery drain (3 percent per hour or more) even at idle with wifi. I couldn't figure out what it was. A factory reset solved the problem.

Dont know if its the s600 version you have, but after a month usage, i can safely say my s4 lasts longer than s3, even with screen on 100% brightness and 2 hours surfing.

But normally i keep brightness at 80%-90% on the s4 indoors, that looks at least as bright in my eyes compared to my s3 on 100%, - perhaps it have to do with the added sharpness.

But apart from that i have to say better screen efficiency is absolutely the most important priority for s5.

My brightness is generally around 5-15% indoors. I don't get it.

I'll try a reset I suppose...

Install GSAM battery monitor and see what's causing the drain. Maybe it's some stupid S-app you can just disable.

Is there a launcher you can use with the S4 that makes everything look like stock Android/Holo? I'm on the verge of upgrading from my GNex, but having watched some of the youtube videos, TouchWiz looks like something from Android 2.2. Giant fonts, ugly buttons/settings menu, awful green color in the notification bar. Would a launcher fix all that?
