System UI. It does have some side effects unfortunately. It'll also affect the height of the status bar and do weird things to the multi-tasking screen. Mostly minor issues and I'm willing to ignore those to have smaller notification buttons.

Sweet. And yeah, the side effects are minor. I have it at 380 DPI and six toggles shown at a time using NottachXposed.

OMG the Touchwiz Calendar is really functional but *so* hideous. Unalterable skeuo brown color.

And how come VZ ended up with the white dialer/contacts app? Horrid.

So far the most astounding thing is how much faster the radio picks up LTE data after coming off airplane mode.

I find most of those launchers $10-20 launchers to be overrated.
All one needs is NOVA launcher.

I have nova too but the 3d one is pretty cool. I love what you can do with the icons.

I much prefer the touchwiz calendar to the Google one just for the fact that the touchwiz one gives you some info about your appointment rather than just a coloured bar which just tells you that something is happening.

People are capable of reading, and the answer is no, the GS4 is not an LTE-Advanced device.

Yes. The s4 beams PDFs. Surprisingly it also beams Amazon MP3s. I was testing my s4 with my sons s3 and it just beamed MP3s purchased from amazon. I assume there is no DRM but still. Pretty cool.

The AOSP calendar is shit.

Jorte provides the same excellent monthly view as the TW -- appointment names, etc -- and with a dark mode as well. It's just not as good at moving/copying events around.

The headphone output on the S4 is infinitely better than on the GNex.

Maybe more could be discovered with thorough testing of audio samples with a combined mix of sound but Beats really does seem to be boosted bass and treble.

I did not notice Beats Audio providing a better experience when listening on the One. Perhaps I need to spend a few hundred dollars on more Beats gear to notice it.

I don't know if it a gimmick or not but I just ran "Adapt Sound" and the clip they play sounds better. Or at least I can hear it better.

The AOSP calendar is shit.

Yup, I use business calendar. They have a nice dark widget.

BTW fellow AT&T folks- if you flash a T-Mobile ROM and then sign into Dropbox, it will give you access to the 50GB free promotion. I flashed back right afterwards and it stayed.

Actually my SGS4 hacking has paused momentarily though as I FINALLY bought the Tapatalk 2 app (I know I know) and it is exposing me to parts of the forum I never dared venture into before and I am getting hooked!

It's worthless for good headphones (IMHO, of course), but for tweaking the sound of the stock speakers, it seems to make some improvement.

And why the heck are the Quick Setting icons for NFC different?
I'm more familiar with the one on the right since that's the icon on my Nexus.

TOTALLY agree.

Every time someone says "Touchwiz is closer to AOSP than Sense" I want to smack them upside the head.

At least I made them smaller by adjusting the System UI DPI but ugh.
