This is a myth - download the latest updates of Nero - most people are no longer having the known problems with it.

I just bought the new Sony 510a burner and haven't had a single problem with using the latest version of nero on some 15 burns of three different quality types of media.

So Nero is a problem? Maybe that is why none of my other DVD-R media works. What software should i use?

they had plenty of the DVD+R(W) media left at Industry BB CA. just got a 25 spool and a 5 pk of rw

I stopped by our local CircuitCity. They had a LOT of the Memorex 100 pack spindles for $19.99. However all but 2 were 32X made in Taiwan.

The oher 2 were 40X made in Japan. So I grabbed those. Checked one out tonight: Taiyo Yuden


Nice deal for a non rebate price.

Bestbuy in Philly @ Redline + Roosevelt Ave has plenty of -R and +R left. Only a few +RW and -RW left I believe.

+RW identify as Ricoh JPN, +R identifies as Ricoh JPN even though the label on the outside says Made in Taiwan.

Anyone know what the Media ID is on the BestBuy Fuji 50-pack DVD-R "Made in Taiwan" spindles?

FWIW, the 10-pack "Made in Japan" boxes with jewel cases come up as "TYG01", which is Taiyo-Yuden and good for 4x.
