Following. I think I am waiting for a 34" 3440x1440 G-Sync monitor to pair with a 980Ti.
Acer is supposed to release a Gsync equivalent of the Predator XR341CK Freesync model.

Thanks for the links, flynnsk. However, I am a little hesitant to add those korean monitors to the list. There are 2 reasons why I am hesitating.
1) All that information is in Korean. Which I can't read. I'd feel very insecure about any details I would take from those pages. Especially any information about FreeSync would not be very reliable.
2) Those monitors are pretty hard to get hold of. If I understand correctly, these monitors, just like the CatLeap and similar monitors, will not be sold legally outside Asia. People have to import them theirselves, or go via shady channels. As long as people in NA and EU can not easily buy these (even if only via 1 official reseller), I see little point in adding them to the list.

YES! That's what I've been waiting for. I guess GSync would be better for me but w/e. Hoping for no backlight issues.

Looks good, but if they are all using the same AUO panel what difference will it make? Bad QC and BLB just like every other 144hz IPS? Hopefully the freesync range goes up to 144hz on this one also.
UHD490 Real4k HDMI 2.0 support for pre-sync technology tiering (wave phenomena) arising from static to dynamically change the refresh rate, the screen refresh rate to match the frame reproduction cycle that is rendered on the GPU, blinking, from AMD to improve the awkward movement The core technology.
No, they don't have to anymore. Now with DP1.2a, they choose to. They can implement G-Sync without a module just they do for eDP notebooks. It requires part of the GPU to act as the controller for the display, to ensure that when the framerate dives below a minimum value, the screen can duplicate frames (the way a G-Sync module operates).
No. AMD's FreeSync is 100% based on DisplayPort 1.2a.I believe the tech that makes AMD gpus support freesync it might not be inside Nvidia GPUs or if it is they have to get the license from AMD for it.
