I bid you farewell. I have spent almost four years of my life on these forums, and I have enjoyed it immensely. I have made some friends, met many kindred souls, and encountered, briefly, many others. I've participated in my share of nef threads, and I've given my input on a variety of topics. I would like to think I have made a positive contribution.
But God awards no points for wishful thinking.
I've spent most of my undergraduate education posting on these boards. I'm ready to move on from both.
Who would fardels bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death,
The undiscover'd country from whose bourn
No traveller returns, puzzles the will
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
To those who think debate on the internet is like winning the Special Olympics; you are right, most of the time. But in the past three years, I have had my opinion changed on a variety of topics. Do not doubt the power of logic and reasoned debate. They can change views one hundred and eighty degrees.
Farnsworth: "Who are those horrible orange creatures over there?"
Glurmo: "Why those are the Grunka Lunkas. They work here in the Slurm factory."
Farnsworth: "Tell them I hate them!"
To my friends in Seattle: I look forward to seeing you all soon. You all should have my phone number or email address. I'm always up for a play or just hanging out, despite my occasional reclusivity.
To those friends here who I will not see again: I have gotten to know many of you and I've shared some intense, deeply personal parts of my life with some. I thank you for your friendship and I pray we meet again. Feel free to instant message me (AIM: Zakath15), if you're in the Seattle area I'm always up for a drink or checking out Pike Place.
To those friends who will go with me to our next adventure: I'll see you there.
Be convinced that to be happy means to be free and that to be free means to be brave. - Thucydides
Live not as though there were a thousand years ahead of you. Fate is at your elbow; make yourself good while life and power are still yours. - Marcus Aurelius

I am posting this again after a discussion with the mods. My original thread was deleted by accident. In the future, please either confine criticism of the mods here to PMs, Forum Issues, or other venues. Life is too short to create so much drama over a message board.
