At random ALL network traffic on this box dies. IRC, AIM, MSN, xFire, continue to work just fine as long as I don't disconnect them. Nothing appears in the event viewer indicating a porblem.
A restart of either the router or the box itself and the problem is fixed but both are inconvienent for different reasons. There doesn't seem to be any similarity to any of the events aside from they take place hours apart. The only thing I can think of is to reinstall XP but this seems like it should be fixable.
I do have the hack installed to allow more connections if that matters.
