This lady deserves severe punishment for her negligence, she should never be allowed to drive again and should be given prison time or at least some kind of televised public humiliation.. she committed two murders.. there was no fog, it was not nighttime.. she deserves to be punished severely or put to death for what she did.. this was no mere mistake..

Also as for the argument about the Civic.. it's unlikely this would've happened in a regular car, you would have to see them just like you see the rear of the car ahead of you in plain view.. in an SUV your view is higher up and if you're one of those tail-gating pieces of garbage they would not be able to be seen as well especially if you're some irresponsible crazy woman who can barely see over the dash or something.. SUV's are a very dangerous and large vehicle and being so driving an SUV means that you must put that much more responsibility into your driving.. or else you better drop the tank and buy something less deadly to everyone else..

This is true. Though not most of the time it's true if somebody is ill or has their pregnant wife and you're trying to slow them down for a bit of fun that is not right - and yes it is legal for them to speed in an emergency.

punishment: empty a stretch of road. put her on a motorcycle. give her 15 seconds to get away as fast as possible. have someone in a huge SUV (Suburban) try to catch up to her, and ram the front of the SUV up her as$ until the bike catches fire, and she is glued to the windsheild and driven several hundred yards to her death.

What pisses evryone off the most? Rolling roadblockers or tailgaters? And for the people who are against 'blockers', how do you deal with tailgaters?

I take a busy highway to and from work. A lot of times there will be a long line of slower traffic in the right lane (keep in mind this is midafternoon so there's lots of traffic). I'll pull into the left lane and begin passing. Along comes Mr. Jackass and starts riding my ass so bad I can't see below his hood when looking in the rearview. I can't comfortably move over into the right because of the traffic. I could do it if I squeezed, but why should I? Why should I needlessly invade another drivers' space to let Mr. Jackass gain .5 seconds on his journey to wherever?

Ive live in Germany and driven on the autobahn MANY MANY times. over there it is againt the law to ride in the left lane unless passing. and if you are in the left lane and you get the highbeams you better move over. Here in the US we do not have those laws. The posted speed limit applies to ALL lanes. what part of that concept do you people not understand?????

Cause in the way I do it is potentially dangerous (if you tap lightly they don't get it). Of course if an accident occured it would be 100% their liability. F**K I HATE TAILGATERS worse than anyone else including lane blockers, light runners, and 4-way-stop-sign-ignorers. Anyway I always do this quite carefully and they never come that close to hitting me. I think it scares them more.

Do all of those road signs that read "Keep Right Except To Pass" and "Slower Traffic Keep Right" mean anything?

The speed limits are arbitrarily set. Back in the 60s/70s it was 75mph on interstates for 2 ton+ cars with bias-ply tires and drum brakes!

Your not kidding

As a rider, I worry about 2 types of vehicles.

1. SUV's. It seems they are in their own world. Very aggressive here in the Boston area. Moreso than others. Had a Navigator on my tail on once. He was no more than a foot behind me. There were 2 lanes and I along with countless others were in the fast lane. No place really to go, but eventually traffic got around the pocket of slower drivers. Everyone moved to the right as their chance came, as did I. Mr Navigator took off with clear sailing ahead. Out of curiousity, I let him go about 1/4 mile ahead and paced him. Did you know one of those huge ass things can do 130? Yep 2 tons plus of weaving almost out of control death machine just sailing along. Oh yeah I have other stories about these guys. They are the worst tail gaters around. :|

2. Old men in hats who look THROUGH their steering wheel. Usually drive early 70's Impalas or the like. Hint- double danger if they have FL plates
