Hello all,

I want to pick New Orlean's defense up this week because I don't like my Minnesota defense against Indianapolis.

The question is who to drop to make the pickup. I have narrowed it down to one of 3 players:

1) Tim Hightower - I hesitate dropping Tim because he seems to be Arizona's red zone back. He may not get a lot of yards, but he will get some TDs. In fact I am thinking of starting him this week over Jamal Lewis because of their respective opponents.
2) Chris Perry - I hesitate dropping Chris because he is currently the Bengals number 1 undisputed back. If an when they get their offense in gear, his value sky rockets.
3) Ted Ginn Jr. - I hesitate dropping Ted because he is Miami's undisputed number 1 receiver and if Miami can figure out how to play football his value goes up. On top of that, my 3 top receivers (Moss, Fitzgerald and Calvin Johnson are all on bye in week 4 and I will need receivers).

Please help me. Thanks.

I'd go with dropping Perry, I don't have a good feeling about the Bengals this season, and I have Palmer as my QB.

What he said. I have the feeling the Bengals are going to suck hard this year.

i take the opposite viewpoint. i'd say drop ginn. you could easily find another wr that will match his output over the year. there's an issue when the #1 and #2 te on the roster has more receptions than the supposed #1 wr. pennington doesnt have a big arm and doesnt do well on long passes either which nullifies alot of the ginn's advantages, speed and he doesnt run good routes.
obviously the bengals didnt look good thier first game, but they have the players in TJ, ocho cinco, henry and palmer to have a decent passing game and open things up for perry.

as for the week 4 wr problem.. you might just have to conceed that week. unless you drop a bunch of your reserves in which case you'll probably be dropping a couple of these guys anyway

i like morris over hightower, i dont trust arizona to provide you enough points for 2 roster spots. with cassel out, the pats will run more and its looking like morris gets the goaline carries and about 50% of total carries per game.

Morris all the way. NE will run him a ton this weekend since the normal New England starting RB (can't remember his name right now) sucked it up in the pre-season and week 1. The "yahoo experts" think Morris will get around 30 carries against the NYJ since Cassel is now the starting QB, and they don't want to force him to throw right away.

I'm glad both of you have confidence in morris, because Hightower had more points than Edge did last week. Hightower actually had the TD last week too. That's where the problem is I guess... do I sit Edge, or do I sit Hightower. I'm basically waiting for Edge to go down with an injury then I'll have a full time back in Hightower. Until then Hightower gets to steal the goal line carries.

Surgery on a torn ligament in his thumb. They say between 4 and 6 weeks.

Having gone through that surgery, I expect he will be back with a brace. He may not be back to normal for about twice that.

Hey guys,

My TE is Zack Miller and after Oakland's performance on Monday night, I doubt he is going to pan out.

For this week alone, who would be a better TE to pick up? The race is pretty tight this week and a better TE might push it into my favour. My scoring system is the standard 1 point for 10 yards receiving, 6 points for TD and minus points for turnovers.

Here are the top bunch of TEs available in my league:

Marcedes Lewis
Kevin Boss
Ben Utecht
Dustin Keller
Desmond Clark
Jerramy Stevens
Robert Royal
David Martin
Bo Scaife
Chris Baker
Dante Rosario
Alex Smith
Leonard Pope
Bubba Franks
Matt Spaeth
Eric Johnson
Ben Patrick
John Madsen
Anthony Becht
Richard Angulo
Daniel Graham
Anthony Fasano

Thanks a lot.

I think the answer depends on your scoring system. Assuming the standard 1 point for 10 yards rushing + 6 points for TD - points for turnovers, it is hard to sit Hightower in favour of Edge. Unless Hightower continues the fumbleitas from the preseason, he will be getting most if not all the red zone/short yardage situations.

As a result, he will probably keep pace or outpoint Edge all year long. I am thinking about starting Hightower over Jamal Lewis this week because of their respective matchups.

Tight ends are an absolute crap shoot. Short of having Witten or Gates, you can pretty much count on about 5 TD's a season. Take that over 14+ weeks and that's not great odds of plucking up a winner off the waiver wire.

One week a guy may get a TD and 80 yards (Fasano for example) and then get 15 yards and no TD's the next three.

Of the list though, I'd look at Clark, Scaife, and Fasano. Fasano in particular may end up being a bit a nobody who picks up decent yards (for TE) with Pennington at the the helm. Penninton appears to have a lot of trust in him.

Who should I start at QB this weekend? Right now I'm carrying 3.

McNabb
Warner
A. Rodgers

I started McNabb last week and benefitted big time, but I highly doubt he'll have a repeat performance, especially against the Cowboys. Rodgers is up against Detroit and Warner against Miami.

Also need some advice on which RB to plug in as my No. 2 for the weekend. AP is my #1. On my roster are McGahee, McFadden, and Chris Johnson (TEN).

add Randy McMichael. With Al Saunders the new offensive coordinator in St Louis, things look good for McMichael. Saunders' TE's included Kellen Winslow (Sr.), Tony Gonzalez, and Chris Cooley last year. McMichael had 5 catches for 77 yards Sunday, which was really good considering how horrible the Rams were.

Assuming his injury doesn't keep him out this week, Chris Johnson.

I'm thinkin Wayne for Turner and Marshall. He's in dire need of better receivers and I think Housh will come through for me soon, but not right now. Any suggestions?

Alright, here's the new trade:

Wayne & Graham for Jacobs & Calvin Johnson.

Thoughts?

Well Scaife had over 100 yds last game. I think Robert Royal had a solid game as well.
