My league just does overall scoring instead of head to head. It's much nicer that way. Sort of balances things out a little bit better when you have a player underperform or miss a game on a last minute injury call. The first year we did FF, we did overall, this was also "The Year of Manning," and McNabb was also great that year. Our scoring, mistakenly, heavily favored QBs, even though Manning was the top performer in any league that year.
well, one guy drafted both Manning and McNabb, and we had 2 starting QB slots. He won week one and never looked back.
Head-to-Head is more realistic, imo. and it's a bit more fun. hell, the top 4 seeds entering our playoffs last year lost out in the first round. I won championship, and I think I entered as the 6th seed (thank you late-season pickup of Graham and Warner )
The big problem, of course, is that the championship game coincides with the final regular season game....when all your top players are benched in RL to prepare for real playoffs.
Of course, you can work around this by being smart and picking up backups or making deals, waiver pick-ups for teams on the bubble.
